Present

The old hand with the sweet bracelet, is mine, Robyn made this for me, and she wrote (much better than I have typed) a card with the following.......

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd,(white crystal)
I shall not be in want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, (green crystal)
he leads me beside quiet waters, (blue crystal)
he restores my soul.
He guides me in the paths of righteousness (clear crystal) for his name's sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,(black crystal)
I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, brown crystal)
they comfort me.
You prepare a table (brown crystal) before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil (yellow); my cup (purple crystal) overflows.
Surely goodness and love (pink crystal) will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord (gold crystal) forever.

It was so lovely to meet you in London Robyn, and your smile will always be with me, and now so will the thoughts of Psalm 23, which I have always loved, and now can think of every time I wear my present.......thank you for a truly heartfelt gift.

Birthday

Some of my visitors on my Birthday.....I had a really great day, so many phone calls and visitors...cards and presents......also flowers which are so lovely...

Got taken out to lunch to the Waveney House Hotel, where I used to work for many years.....and it has all been renovated, it is gorgeous right by the river..had a great lunch thanks Jan...

Stuart who owns it saw me and got his PA to take me and Jan all round the refurbished bedrooms, what a transformation........ Dive would love it as they exposed all the old beams, and have tastefully oiled them and not painted them.......

Certainly our ghost is still there, when I entered room 8 felt Mary , who walks mainly on the top landing, she is looking for her sailor love who drowned at sea, and she walks the pier which would have been there, as we used to be a fishing port the sea used to be where the hotel now stands....

When I worked there often used to sense her, she is a friendly ghost, but sometimes at 11pm when there were not too many people about, and I was on my own in reception, she made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up!!!

And the rest of the day was full of friends and family.... just one missing of course, but he lives in my heart so he was there in spirit...

Hope to see the boys this weekend...I shall be spoiled again.......

This is my great great neice who was christened last Sunday, she is crawling now and only 6 months, whatever happened to babies!!!!
My great niece Emma with Grace, and Maddie brought me the balloon which had to sit in the window to tell everyone how old I am!!!!!! I am only that on the outside, inside I am about 35!!!!!!
Rachael another beautiful great niece with Grace, and in the background my niece making the many cups of tea we had!!!!
Maddie after she had eaten some chocolate cake...

And a big thank you to Jan once again, as she produced a dear little cake with one candle on... as I did not make myself a cake.......

Thank you to one and all for a great day......

River View

On Monday one of my friends took me for a trip down Memory Lane... we visited all our old haunts a blast from the past, I am sure those roads were never that small.. of course only used a bicycle in those days.....

These river views are Burgh Staithe years ago it was a very small part of the river, but they have done a lot of widening over the years, and it is now a thriving Marina, with a large shop and swimming pool, and instead of caravans they have built accommodation which is very good indeed...

Yesterday my Brother and Sister in law took some friends who are staying with them on this boat, and they were lucky with the weather on the trip out, and sat on the top deck, but coming home they had to resort to inside..... still a nice little trip...

Christening

This is my great niece with her children Grace and Maddie, and some sort of doll that Maddie insisted wanted its photo taken!!!we had such a good day ......weather was kind, and all the children were very sweet.....It was the Christening for Grace....
Here is Grace with another of my great nieces who are all wonderful and I think gorgeous....The balloon is not really on her head, just my bad photography again....
Two more of my lovely family......cannot believe how grown up they all are now....
My happy niece Claire,
My bubble blowing Nephew... little things you know!!!!!!!!

Picnic in the Park

Afraid I did not get good pics of the gig, but somewhere there is Lulu with Jools Holland Big Band.......

This is two guitarists who were very good, unlike my taking of photographs!!!!!!!

But had a great time, met up with some people who were good company, about 4,000 people there, and it was truly magical music.......

The only downside was getting off the car park, but luckily my friend was very patient!!!!
