Pre birthday party!

I have been spoilt again by my lovely family pre my birthday…

Lovely day in no particular order as love them all…David,Phil,Dawn,Pete,Tom,Emma…

I said no fuss but however am so thrilled as it was such a good day, meeting up at Phil and Dawns, we all went on to The Ugly Bug Pub it is called the Norfolk Lurcher now but locally known as The Bug!

What a great welcome we had such very nice people and rather special pub, (lovely clean loos! ex landlady so always check loos!)

The meals were so tasty we all ate too much but it was worth it, so thank you family it was very very good.

I took a few photos … then off we went back to Hockering… Dawn had made me a lovely sponge, we had tea and then sparkling wine! great…

Opened a few cards, then Tom and Emma said would I open their present to me, well how they managed to get it done they only arrived back off honeymoon on Thursday evening, photos in a frame with "Family" then the words 'is where life begins and love never ends', people looking in will not all know what that means to me from my grandson and his wife, but Phil and I  shed a few tears of happiness how thoughtful and precious after all these years.

Having a Kindle arrive soon I am told  as well from the boys and Dawn will seem strange not to hold a book! so as it is not yet my birthday have some nice looking parcels to open when it is!!!

It is nice to be able to write my blog diary and not be all jazz, although of course love my jazz posts! Even some nice Jazz bits at the pub!

Thank you all for a very special day I am so lucky to have you all in my life. And very proud of you all.

Sole Bay Jazz Band with friends…

A great night of live music at the Sports Pavilion Ditchingham last evening…with the Sole Bay Jazz Band and guests , when you think the band just come together for the night and some maybe have not played together for a long time it was a remarkable evening.

A good crowd appreciated the  different line up, it was a really fun night as well and so much talent so thank you all …a super mix.

Some great solos as well… the balance in some of the music was extremely interesting and so melodic…

Well done Alan you always do a good job when Tim is absent on the mike!

Good raffle thanks Clover and Chris… also of course the ticket folders…

Heidi nice to see you again even though you were tired after your busy day x

A few photos still not happy with my camera at the moment, but could be the photographer! who cannot stop moving when the music is playing…Also sorry not a photo of them all think Fudge has one on FB but I could not get everyone in!

The Quartet…

Great idea Jan to go to Milestones  Sunday evening … To see and hear 'Jazz Unlimited' Thank you…

So nice to meet up with June and Duncan …about time …we have left it far too long…

Nice to see some of the Ditchingham jazz folk there as well…

Super night of live talented music, very enjoyable, only problem…first half it started to get warm, so had a giggle that it would be like Thursday night only hot air!!!! then when they had a break they put the air con on! thought it was very nice to start with (sorry Chris) but then they did not turn it off, so we gradually all got very cold!!!So Milestones think on looking after your customers!!!!

A couple of photos as was not sure I should be taking them there as did not ask…so they are a dark and moody!

Wedding Day…

A beautiful day dawned for the wedding of two very special people last Friday…

My precious Grandson Tom and his best friend and love Emma, how proud we all were to celebrate with them,  family and friends…

I think it may have been the most wonderful wedding with such love pouring out …the fun as well …that we have been to, and very very special to us as a family for many reasons.

The little thoughtful things like the photo frame with dressing up tools, the children who were there had loads of things to play with so many special touches at The Duke Somerleyton. The staff and food (yummy) really great…

So thank you Emma and all the family and everyone who did all the little special things that made the day… firstly when we got to Church and the notice outside made the tears well up because this was such a precious day for us.

There were so many photos but David managed to get some of his to me and I thought I would share those and more for memories on here …hope you enjoy…In no particular order …still awaiting the photos from the service at the moment which was so moving but also even more special because the Rev.Canon Bob Baker made it joyful…

David, Phil and Dawn thank you…John was there in spirit because of you three…

Night of Jazz…

Sorry late on here with the report for Thursday evening, but have to say it was a great night of live music played by our wonderful talented jazz men and some vocals from Barry.

It is always good of course …then some nights the Sole Bay manages to pull out some extra special ones and Thursday night was one of them, sadly it was very hot so they, and us nearly melted, we must do something about doors being opened on these nights, as it will soon be winter and they can be shut!!!!!!But a lot of us really did suffer.

But how good was the music and singing also great the Barry got a good audience appreciation with hey de hey de ho!!!!!Good old Minnie!

A good crowd again which is always nice to see, as live music is soooo good…especially the Sole Bay sort! Still some of our regulars missing which is a worry hope all is well with them.

Nice to see Heidi back behind the bar that smile is catching… missed Fudge didn't we. ha ha.

Thanks Clover and Chris for the raffle great as always… of course for 'the boys' for the ticket folding.

A few photos…
