Another different musical night of live music…
More slower this week… however some different sounds, so lucky to have live music each week to entertain us all. It takes a lot of organising …

Thanks to all the musicians, some great playing as always… some vocals from Tony P lovely deep voice, and of course our Simon did a couple of lovely moody numbers for us.

A good crowd again, although rather vocal last night, but at least up front it was quieter.

Thanks Heidi as always, and thanks for people dipping in for the raffle as without your help it would not be possible to carry on.

I would just like to mention Keith and Sheila, Keith has been a part of the Sole Bay Jazz in many ways, for many years, and Sheila and him, have always been there every week, they could be,  but of late both have not been in the best of health, and Sheila has been missing from her usual seat for several weeks, just to say  thank you for all you do, and when I do the raffle I have been asked how Sheila is all the time, so this is from all who attend the live music Sheila GET WELL SOON AND GET BACK TO US!

Beccles Conservative Club…

A lovely evening of music and songs at the Club last night …from a lady called Tracy Dean … she sang some great numbers from the 50'60's and more… has such a strong voice and made all the well known songs for us older folk to sing have a slightly different take on them, so well done Tracy,  think you must know how well the audience enjoyed your music…Pity so much loud talk again, like on our Thursday nights! seems to be the norm nowadays…But spoke to Tracy and she says she gets used to all the chat, just us then who get annoyed!

Nice to see some dancers enjoying the music as well did manage a couple myself,  miss dancing I must admit, but still enjoyable to watch…

Thanks to good friends who I went with they had a great time as well, and for the ladies who did the buffet well done it was really nice and tasty…

***

Today at lunch time The Footwarmers Jazz Band gave us a very good amount of
music… singing and fun.

Good crowd again, not everyone listens! but as I said before that seems to be the thing nowadays, more social, still we at the front had a good time listening!

Jazz Night…

Every time I do a little report on here, I always think how lucky we are to have such talented musicians to play for us each Thursday evening, and again Alan managed another line up which was once again terrific, so thank you to the Band what a great night.

Ron/Ray/ Dick on the front line, with Craig/Alan/Tony at the back …Simon singing for us… I am to old to put Wow on here, but Wow it was…

Non stop music… some different sounds thanks to Ray who organised the music for us…and although he said he was not good at taking charge he certainly did a good job. Good to hear him on Trumpet as well.

Ron what a player he is, always packs the place,  a joy to hear, as they all are …Trummy can get notes out of his trombone that should never be in there, as does Tony on bass and Alan on guitar and banjo…as for Craig well never heard a drummer like it great playing as always.

The crowd …well do not think we have had so many there, lots of new faces, so hope they enjoyed the evening, of course not enough chairs but thanks to Neil garden chairs and a stool helped, (my back still aches to old for sitting on a stool but did appreciate it) but everyone seemed to enjoy the music so suppose it did not matter too much.

Thanks as always to Heidi, what a grand job behind that bar, so busy…it was bad enough trying to get round to take the raffle money (which I thank all those who do have tickets and a special thanks to  those who dig deep as it does help to get these good musicians there for us all)

I am hoping my little video of Simon singing' Tangerine'  is ok will pop it on at a later date if it is. What great voice he was in …lovely Simon thank you so much.

I do hope that all those who are still unwell, get better soon so you can come back and enjoy the music.

Thanks again to all the musicians…

Sole Bay with friends again…

Once again the talented line up we had at the Sports Pavilion Ditchingham, gave us another great musical night…

Seven musicians and a singer…how lucky were we!

I really do not know where to start as so many lovely moments so hope I do not leave anyone out…as they were all sooo good…

Tim as always great playing, did an Acker Bilk solo which was really good after a false start from our backing line, these different keys the musicians play in always bring a smile…

Derek did a solo how that man can still play, sure he will not mind if I say for his age…

Craig yet another fabulous drum solo…wow had the crowd gasping, ha ha and the ears of the band!

Allan B took the lead and gave everyone a chance to play as well as playing and vocals…

Ray on Piano somehow always good , but excelled himself last night fingers flying …

Tony that String Bass was burning…

Alan C getting orders at one time from Allan B to play guitar and not Banjo causing some more smiles. Thanks once again Alan for all the organising and the playing of course…

Simon, so nice to see you well enough to serenade us …how lovely I loved them all but favourite last night singing Secret Love…

All in all a fabulous different evening of live music, thank you everyone. Great to meet up with such lovely people who I can call my friends…

The crowd although not as many as usual a good lot of regulars and a few new faces. I certainly hope everyone went home well pleased.

I did not get a chance to take photos, as a nice lot of fans got up front so it was cosy! and after disturbing people for the raffle, did not think I would push in… but some folk did take a few.

What a really pleasant  change the audience were …lots of talking still, but not so loud, and one or two who I can praise for staying quiet when the soloists were playing. Maybe because the ones who wanted to listen were up at the front…

Thanks as always to Heidi and also Don last night who helped me with the ticket folding as my usual gang were not there.

What a great night sorry for all those who were unwell … get better soon.

Thanks  again as always to our great talented musicians who make it a good evening out, and many times a great one, we do appreciate you all.

Great night of music…

The Sole Bay and Friends gave us a really good night of talented music at the Sports Pavilion last evening…

Some really different sounds from the band, not too big a crowd but those (apart from the noisy talking ones) had a great night, a few of the regulars missing and some sick so get well soon to those who are under the weather.

Roy gave us some vocals as well nice to hear the voice back… Ron did a great number with Craig on the drums with Tony and Alan,… Bill playing such melodic trombone  sounding good…Tim and Ron with their duets…Tony never looks up when I take a photo! great bass, and Alan keeping the beat, glad the beer stayed on the table Alan! Everyone in the band certainly looked like they were enjoying themselves as much as we were, so thanks everyone a musical treat again.

Thanks Jan for taking all of us and the help with the 'boys' for folding the raffle tickets!

Lovely to meet up with friends, nice lot of hugs…thanks Heidi a great job considering your long walk earlier in the day! and thanks Fudge as always great to know you are on my wave length! thanks for making Craig smile!!

Great music good crowd and very nice food…

Thanks Tim for taking me and for lunch… everyone there are so friendly… Jean always looks after me……thanks all for making it such a lovely time…

As it is a small space that the band play in and a very large crowd of diners, thought I would try a few different shots not sure if it works, but tried to get everyone in…
