Morning Jazzers

Another week has flown past and still we are having to be very good and patient before getting to enjoy our beloved Sole Bay Jazz Band for real …in the meantime Tony Nicholls has been keeping us happy with the videos…

Lovely message from Neil about last week, and a good idea that maybe if things go well we could sometime in the future might have a little outdoor listen to the band???? That would be lovely , as Neil said they used to play outside at Mettingham so………………

I do hear from a nice lot of you, if any of you would like something added on here please let me know, as although not many comments, the stats say that a lot of people pop in.

4 years today since we lost another good friend of jazz Peter Parr so many up there looking down and missing the music. But we do not forget them.

Hope all of you are staying safe and following the rules that we should do, sadly a lot of folk do not do that and now with the new adjustments it is even more important… especially as we all want to start getting out and about safely again. But I am sure none of our Jazzers would be silly …as like me we want to see the music venues open again.

A few Black and Whites this week. Oh dear hope that does not offend some people, we are all family. Stay safe and well…

Hello Jazzers…

Yet another Thursday without our visits to Jazz at the Sports Pavilion Ditchingham…

I hope all is well with those who look in on here, please keep in touch if there is anything you would like me to put on the blog, some of you do look in and I am in touch with a few of you. Do miss everyone.

This virus has made a lot of us just self isolate and it will be a while before we dare get out and about again, but it will get better and we can all get out for our Thursday night Jazz.

This week thought would try something different on here, as it was Neil's 80th birthday yesterday, and he has followed the Sole Bay Jazz Band from the start will bring back some memories…10 years ago…

Thanks as always to Tim,Tony and Alan, such a great night out....
Must thank Ivan for taking us there 4 women in a car it was good of you!

Sole Bay Jazz Band…

Good morning Jazzers… yet another Thursday has come along without our beloved Jazz Band being able to play at The Sports Pavilion Ditchingham…

I do hope everyone is keeping well and staying safe from the virus… not sure about how things have worked out, as to me we seem to be floundering on a few points… so hope the scientists and the government can pull together and get these tests done, before we lose many more people to the covid 19.

I am sure those who have had to self isolate are like me, feeling that enough is enough, and wanting to get out and about, however the worry when I see the crowds that gather together and ignore the advice to stay at a distance is enough to keep me caged in.

I am lucky as I have wonderful people who do my shopping for me, so I eat well!!! good job jogging pants have elastic waist bands!!!But do use a lot of energy cutting down shrubs etc and still doing my yoga, and have a little walk, so maybe will be able to get into proper clothes when can go out!

But on a lighter note we have had some good weather to get in the gardens those who have them that is. we do need rain, and have a little light drizzle here in Beccles this morning which is not going to do much I am afraid! but grateful to even get the leaves wet.

Spend a lot of time watching the birds…blackbirds,  blue tits and cheeky sparrows the pigeons are a big problem…have another little blackbird nest in a shrub by the garden bins! silly place… so have to remember to not slam the lids down!!! there are loads of bees feeding off the flowers…not seen many butterflies yet.

Lucky to have Alistair Griffin to watch a few times a week and chat to the friends I made when used to go to his gigs…he keeps us all amused as well as singing some great songs, great singer songwriter, better than some of the rubbish one hears on the radio sometimes.

Also thank you to all those who do keep in touch, even though not many comments, I know a lot of people look in,  and we do have face book so can send messages.

Happy birthday to Duncan on Sunday xxx

Enough of my ramblings … stay safe everyone until we can meet again…

A few photos from the past… Tony does a great job on FB with his videos.
