Morning Jazzers…

Hello folks, here we go again yet another Thursday without our social evening of Jazz from The Sole Bay Jazz Band…

Well …Craig has had a birthday last week, and this Sunday is Alan's, so Happy Birthday to both. Also to those who I have not got dates of Birthday's for!.

I hope you have all been keeping safe and abiding by the rules whatever they are! very confusing…And I do hope that you are all keeping busy with 'things to do', or maybe like me and a few others, are now finding things difficult …suddenly feeling old and very achy, and not smiling as much sadly, talking to myself as well!! Or maybe I always did?? I pretend I talk to Oscar!!!Missing the social side of life!

However trying to keep busy and not listening too much to the news which is not as pleasant as would like, have started drawing and painting again, as the keyboard gets a bit hard on the old fingers nowadays…and the garden gets harder  but lovely to still get out there when I can, if the weather lets me!!! but luckily Jan and my lovely friends aways keep me going.

Especially Neil bless him… sent me some great photos this week, which I will pop on here.

Roy Symonds sends his love to all… still missing those hugs…lovely photo from Neil of him this week.

Face Book keep sending memories on my site and most of them are photos os The Band! Missing you all.

Alistair is still keeping all of his 700 plus followers happy… by singing and having fun when he can on Face Time…just got his latest album which is delicious! as is his Son who is 5 and keeps us fans wanting to hug him, he has just got some lovely Pudsy Pyjamas for Children in Need! Tom not Alistair, although would not surprise us if he got some!!!!

Thanks Neil for the photos …lovely memories…

Just got permission to post young Tom in his Children in Need jim jams x

Morning Jazzers

Good morning Jazzers, just popped on to say… as you may or may not know blogger has followed Face Book and the set up is different…

I have tried to change how the Comments work as Tony used to be able to post and now cannot, so hopefully it has worked, you do not now have to have a google password.

However as the blog goes out to a lot of people will see how it works as some comments may not be nice!!

Have a safe happy day…

Lovely as always to hear from a nice lot of Sole Bay fans…Roy Symonds send cyber hugs to one and all. June and Les were pleased people liked their photo…

Hope everyone is keeping well and abiding by the rules and not like some who are disregarding them all and still spreading this terrible virus, so stay safe.

Jan and me send you all cyber hugs as well, we are managing to still have a little walk now and then but not like we used to, while looking back to find some giggle photos, seem to be many of Jan and I on lovely walks, so here is hoping we and all you jazzers will soon be able to go out and enjoy life again.

Morning Jazzers

Good morning jazzers, thank you for looking in again…

Have a few treats for you today… Hope you liked seeing our Neil in a few poses at past jazz venues always keeps me on my toes…

He has given me a list  of the people in the photo 1999… did you recognise anyone? Ian Murray…Jean Halls…Jenny Doddington…Marian Garrard (desc'd) Leonne Godfrey…Sandy Bland…Terry Doddington…Keith Godfrey (desc'd)…Neil Bland…

He sent a great photo of Neil Kane looking happy will pop it on at the end of this…

Now!  I have another little video  which I had deleted from my Movies, I was looking through some old photos on the blog, when found it, a little gem from Wheatacre White Lion (where again several years ago) we had a few jazz sessions there, and I hope you enjoy it… BUT you will have to find it. You need to go to the side bar look in 2010  go to October and press on Wheatacre White Lion title. I know it is not a very good video but I am sure a few of you will know the players.

I do hope you are keeping safe and well and looking forward to coming through this pandemic so we can meet up again and enjoy company and live music.

If anyone is on Face Book that are amongst my Friends Timeline do have a look at Alistair, he is still doing his music for us fans even though he has not been well… I have shared a lot on there from when we have our on line chats, but do look at 'In the Dark' video it is so good, he will be on FB tonight at 8pm he sings and as usual has a mad sense of humour.

Keep in touch folks and keep jazzing…

October…

Good morning Jazzers… October has arrived and we are still waiting for things to get back to so called normal, which does not seem will be for a while yet, some of it is because not everyone thinks the virus is something they should take notice of, so many people are suffering because of a few selfish people. But I feel us in Suffolk and Norfolk are taking things more serious and behaving.

I have been shopping a few times but do not like having to queue to get out again! but needs must, when I was little like a lot of you no doubt…we had to queue for everything, and with ration books as well, and we are still able to buy nice things to eat…even if would love the supermarkets to have more fresh veg which is not wrapped in plastic!!!!

The one thing I find that hurts is not seeing people, getting lonely at this age is not good, and I am lucky to have great family and friends, but miss being able to meet up with most of them, which I have no doubt you are all feeling as well… so we have to stay safe and pray that this virus will die down, so we can all get back to jazzing again.

Nice to hear from June and Les … sending good wishes to all who look in on here. As does Roy Symonds had a nice chat with him during the week. Jan always sends her best to everyone, we do meet up as often as we can, thank goodness for e mail and face book where I do share some thoughts.
June Rushmore sends her best to one and all as well, I do miss her …

Face Book seems good especially as so many music lovers are on there, and all those musicians who are unable to play at gigs at the moment have found ways of sharing their music.

We did not have any takers on who the people were in Neil's photo last week, but then I could only guess a couple, but hopefully a few more photos from him sometime with some answers!!!

It will be Tony Jullings birthday tomorrow I think …hope he still looks in here…so Happy Birthday to him and any one else who has a birthday in our Jazz crowd.

I am still trying to get on with this blog as like face book it has changed, but on here it is not easy to find how to change things it seems to have a mind of it's own.

But have found a way to post photos, so must be learning… these are from last October so try and remember the great times we had and will I am sure have again…
