8pm-10.30pm

That was a different night of live music thanks to one and all. great combination with the two Sax's and the Clarinet's ! Ron and Tim great playing…

Ray you sounded good and looked it in the middle, nice to be able to see you for a change…

Tony and Alan working hard keeping the beat…

Thanks to Roy who provided some very nice vocals, nice to see you fit again…

Good raffle, and good friends, did miss the drums, but makes a change.

Two things… sadly several people especially in the band had rotten coughs and colds, so here's wishing everyone well.

And the loud talking always my beef, as we all talk but not usually so loud, but it is a social evening, so hope it did not spoil everyones enjoyment of live music…

Thank Heidi as always  nice smile to keep everyone happy…
Jan for driving  us, and of course for everyone being generous about the raffle, no entrance fee, so all you can give is a bonus to keep the line up different each week, and lovely to see who wins the first prize…

So here's looking forward to next week…

Footwarmers at the Club!

On Sunday 22nd at the  Beccles Conservative Club the Footwarmers played for a fun lunchtime of live music…

A good crowd, but like the Thursday nights, pity that some folk do not come to listen, and chat all the way through, why they do not keep to the back I do not know, so it was spoilt a bit with all the loud chat…even the band were feeling very sad about it.

However the usual good fans of the live music certainly made up for all the noise…

It was a fun lunchtime, plenty of songs, and some with words we never heard before it was so funny, but how we love it all.

Did not get many photos because the post always gets in the way, but…

Mike/Roy/Dave/Barbara/Barry/Bill/Ian/ all played well, and Ivan gave us a number on the piano…

Missed Barbara off the photos sorry B…Well done to you all…

Sole Bay Band + Friends…

Another night of live music at the Sports Pavilion Ditchingham last night… Nice to see a good crowd that ploughed through the wet weather to meet up and cheer the band…

From 5 last week to the line up of 7 plus it was a good night of lots of different sounds. Lots of variations, some not to my liking I must admit, but love to see the rapt attention some of the men had on their faces! on the whole a great evening…

Thanks to all involved some vocals from the two Simon's…

Great playing from these talented musicians…Nice to see Ray on the Piano smiling, he is usually very serious…Also nice to see the Baritone Saxophone show up, well done Tim good sound…Have to say thanks to Craig who was cheeky last night!made me grin and as always such good drumming…as I said lovely playing from all…

Heidi that smile always makes the evening, lovely to meet up each week with so many friends.

Several people were under the weather so hope they all soon feel better. There seems to be so many colds about this winter, but a dose of live music can help one feel so much better!

As you can see it was a colourful evening!

Thanks Sole Bay Band…

Norfolk Jazz Quartet

Trying again!

At last managed to get the whole of the video on here, took some time, however, hope you can enjoy some of the music that was played, Memories was played late in the evening and the musicians were getting tired but very good all the same, ha ha the water bottles I did not notice until had started the video, sorry…

Jazz at the Hub…

The Norfolk Jazz Quartet played at the Hub in Sheringham last evening, and you know how it is when you get an invitation out of the blue, and you hope it will be nice, well I am so lucky to have been invited and taken to The Hub, it turned out to be such a great night, much better than just nice…the music is still ringing in my ears.

My thanks to everyone who made it a pleasure… Tim you did well after a long drive and a very windy walk by the sea, plus the Vikings! ( by the way folks if you go walking along by the sea do not wear high heels!) especially you men!!! But a very nice walk Tim, even if we were rather wind blown.  and the pub was rather a good idea what a little treasure of bits and pieces that was. Thank you as always for taking me and putting up with my nattering …Jean and Vic you always look after me so well, Liz and Pete lovely to see you as well.

Such a great crowd of people that appreciated the music, and lovely to actually sit, watch, while the audience is listening and not talking…and what music.

I had heard the quartet do a few numbers at another gig, but what a pleasure that little place is The Hub with such nice lighting as well and of course our quartet in their black and white, there is something to be said about that!

But mostly how good to listen to such talent, thank you all.

I have done a little video but of course cannot match being there, but will have a go at putting it on here sometime. In the meantime a few photos…

The Pose!
Tim…Pete…Vic…Liz…
Great music…

Sole Bay Band…

Another good night of music and entertainment at the Sports Pavilion Ditchingham, not such a big crowd, but maybe people thought 5 in the line up would not come up to the 7 of last week, but they would have been mistaken because it turned out to be a really great night, and lots of fun, well apart from all the talking, but I will not go there…

Thanks Sole Bay for all the lovely music and for guest Ron West for the great drumming …thank you.

Lovely solo's as well from one and all… I say it every time but how lucky we are to have such talent to play for us, without having to pay an entrance fee, and you know how good you all are for putting your hands in pockets for the raffle which enables the band to get such great line ups.

Thanks also to Simon and Roy who added to the mix with some really good vocals…

Heidi always that smile, fudge! nice sign language! Hope all those under the weather soon are back to fitness…
