Sole Bay Jazz Band Halloween …

Another great night of live music by talented musicians at The Sports Pavilion Ditchingham.

It certainly gelled last night…some really wonderful playing and lots of fun as well, from all six players…

Halloween is not something I agree with as too commercial …however always nice to have a fun night, and we have such great people who come along regularly to the jazz so we like to make it magic!!!

Not such a big crowd however nice that you all dug deep for the raffle, well done to Clover and Christine and you looked good! Thanks to the boys as always for the ticket folding…

'The Coven table' always dress up so good to see them do that and some extra  ghoulish things on the table this year…I do not mean the people… well I know how some people read things on here!!!!! I know several folk took photos and hope some came out better than mine but it was a laugh.

Thanks Heidi always smiling hope the children have a good halloween…

Missed you Fudge, however Dad made me have a good laugh he was great…

I do hope all those who are not feeling well soon improve, as we lost another nice gentleman who sadly passed away this week, the music keeps us young but sadly ill health seems to be claiming some of our dear friends this year again.

So always look to having fun while we can…

Tussle!
Nice smile Tim lovely witch clover xx

Walk in the October sunshine…

Jan and I decided to drop all the housework… washing and cooking this morning and off we went to Pakefield Cliffs, A beautiful sunny if very windy morning would not have thought it October!

Walked down to the South pier at a good speed chatting to folk on the way, lots of people about and dogs…

Came back a lot slower as the wind was…well very windy…we did stop off at the Thatched Cottage for a coffee and a naughty sausage roll which we shared!!!! then onwards at a much slower pace…

A few photos, and sorry Jan but think that one of you in front of the huts posing could not be deleted until it found its way on here, you look great…

Thank you had a great time, now to catch up with all the stuff I left behind when we decided to just go!!!

May have to have a bit of a doze later ha ha!

Sole Bay Jazz Band with guests…

Thursday the 12th October at The Sports Pavilion Ditchingham wow what a night.

Thanks to one and all we had a very different talented fun evening, such a great trad jazz night  so many old tunes had not heard for a while and non stop as well.

Led by Geoff … Pete …Bill and Ray on the front line and our intrepid back line of Craig …Alan and Tony… what a nice lot of solo's as well soooo good.

A good crowd even if quite a few empty chairs but those who were there really heard some great music.  Nice to see a few of the regulars who have not been for a while, and some new faces as well.

Thanks Clover for the raffle and the 'boys' for folding the tickets, well done Alan as MC.

Heidi as always that smile even with the remnants of that cold… sexy voice though!

I am sending good wishes to all those regulars who are not well at the moment we miss you. Get well soon…

And as an add …the person in the red van who tailgated me through the little back road in Ditchingham, it is a 30 mile an hour zone which I was doing …and you nearly had me off the road, I hope you get some driving lessons!before doing someone some harm…

Dixie Mix

Dixie Mix video Stranger on the Shore…Fingers crossed!

Have just played it through and although I was a bit shaky hope you can hear the sentiments that come through from Pete's playing backed by John Kevin and Tony.

Dixie Mix…

Wow what a great night of music …out 3rd night in a row!

Janet drove  Neville (Pete's Bro) Yvonne and me to see Dixie Mix at Wangford Community Centre… I must say before I tell how really great the night was, the Community Centre and all those who look after it do a really good job and the facility is absolutely such a good venue so thank you to all who manage that and well done for raising all that money for the Church roof.

Now …
those lads who are Dixie Mix always make such an entertaining night, but think they really went over the top last night, considering Simon and some of the others were not feeling good they certainly did not show it.

I am so pleased that we managed to sit nice and close so that Neville and Yvonne could see Pete playing, so they had a good night, as did we. Yvonne wanted to hear Pete play Stranger on the Shore so I did manage to video that will try and put it on here at a later date…

Thank you boys a really great night …a few photos …Hope you can enjoy them …the lights kept changing colour so nice and varied…

The Lowestoft Players…

Last night…Janet ,Elizabeth and James treated me to yet another 80th birthday treat…Thank you so much my lovely family.

What a wonderful evening it was as well…

The Lowestoft Players are a great family of very clever artistic people but I think they outdone even their best last night at The Bethal Theatre.

They were celebrating 50 years of their showbiz magic, and 'The Sound of Musicals' was certainly magic, Congratulations to all of them, what talented people …from the staging the changes of clothes to suit all the many musicals they have performed over the years…the wonderful singing and everything about them was truly magical well done to them all could not have been better than if you saw a West End Show.

Not allowed photos  but every bit of the music scenery and everything else including the happy people that were there…I can assure you it is something everyone should see …brilliant.

Thank you to one and all and the talent of the Lowestoft Players they deserve all the awards that noda have given them.

Cannot believe you are 87 today well done and long may you continue.

Found this little photo of you, amongst a lot of others…

Sorry Tony I thought you said it was the year of the two fat ladies so assumed it was 88, have put it right as you might get the Queens letter on the wrong year!!!!
