SUNDAY MORNING FLOWERS…

I awoke to a beautiful sunny morning, so wandering around the garden first thing, thought you might like to see some of the corners in my very hard work garden… The wind and strange weather has hurt it a bit but still every day something different appears…My late hubby loved the garden and I have tried over the years to keep it the way he would like it to look, not many straight lines he loved to turn a corner and find something new to look at…not sure how long I can keep the work up, but such a pleasure to see it when the sun shines…hope you enjoy…

This is Alan Titchmarsh a friend made it…

Sunday Jazz Conservative Club…

This Sunday the 30th at the Beccles Conservative Club, The Footwarmers will again be playing Jazz and more from 12 noon until 3pm… Not sure who exactly will  be playing with the usual main musicians but it will be good …And like our Thursday Jazz at Ditchingham one never knows who may pop along and join in…

All are welcome …non members included, so if you want a nice friendly few hours listening to live music come along…

If it is nice weather there is always the very nice Bowling Green  with plenty of seats to sit around and still listen to the music…

No doubt Julia and Michael will be supplying a BBQ if you cannot wait for your Sunday lunches at home…

Live Jazz…

Another great night of live music from the Sole Bay Jazz Band… and very pleased with the good crowd that turned up, even more new faces as well as the usual "fan club regulars".

A lot of not so well poorly folk… who could not come but wish them all well
and come back soon.

The Band entertained us with some really different music again …so good when they swop these talented musicians each week as every week gives us a different sound.

And what a sound, so lucky we are…have taken a few photos once again sorry they are not as sharp, no excuse, but my little camera does not like the lighting there, and do not like to get right up to the band, however just a flavour…

We also had Jenny to sing a couple of numbers and she was great, really a joy to know she is feeling better enough and can join in more…

Dick also played his "arsonium" as Tim calls it and my goodness he gets a lot of notes out of the trombone but even more out of that.

Thanks Emma for the "bar" you did well with a bad head…glad it improved…

I try not to mention this but- thanks also for the contributions to the raffle, it is hard each week to ask you all for a little something, and some of you must get fed up with me always making sure I get some money from you … as Tim always says ' Ignore Beryl at your Peril' ! but as it is a free gig with such talented musicians I know you all dig deep and everyone appreciates it, after all live music needs to be kept alive and some of the musicians
come a long way to play for us…

All in all a great time was had by all, thanks for all the good company, thanks as always to the Band, and see you all next week…

I will try and put the correct date on next week, but thanks to those who pointed it out to me and so glad people ignored the date and turned up! well I did put Thursday on……………

Peregrine Chick…

This lunchtime sadly another of the wonderful Falcon chicks had been found dead… they are not sure yet why, as this morning the siblings were happy and playing in the box together. So a very sad Hawk and Owl site as we have all got so fond of them. Also the people of the H&O Trust work so hard to keep them safe.

This one was T4 and named Edith, and Jamie has kindly allowed me to have this photo to put on here.

We are all hoping and praying the others do not have the same fate.

Farewell you lovely bird you have given us a lot of pleasure…
This morning the 24th June I am pleased to say the remaining two chicks are having a great time on the spire in their nesting box, best place for them out of the wind…

First of this years roses…

The rain and high winds are blowing the garden to pieces, so have just picked the first roses of the year to enjoy in doors…
Enjoy…

Sole Bay Charisma…

Yet another good night  of "All that Jazz"… Thanks to the line up this week, we had another different sound from the Band again…

Ray Simmons came along with his Piano. to add to Tim-Ron-Tony-Craig-Alan, and Roy gave us some vocals…

A great crowd, some new faces, and still some of the regulars on holiday, or unwell, so if everyone turns up we will have to use the outside as well, how wonderful that so many people are enjoying live music…and all for free, well apart from me making sure everyone has a raffle ticket as we need to keep these talented people coming each week to entertain us, and it is a very small price to pay, and one never knows there may be a prize or two for some!

Several people mentioned it was like a warm friendly club there, and they are right, so if you have not come along, please do…

The Pavilion Ditchingham has turned out to be a bit special… Thanks Emma for keeping the thirsty folk happy…

A few photos, must stop getting caught up in the music and make sure I get some better ones… Thanks for the smile Ron I will catch it on here one day!

Peregrines again!

Well this morning at 8.14am our little last chick went backwards off the ledge, all waiting to hear if he has landed safely.

Every one on the forum have been watching the progress of these wonderful Falcons, and now they are free to fly away oh dear sort of sad…
***
I am home from the Cathedral having had a wonderful view of the chicks who are safe thanks to the folk from the Hawk and Owl Trust, one chick decided to wander but they retrieved it…and the parents flying around busy trying to feed them all now they are spread around.

Thanks to our wonderful camera men on the forum some more great photos soon, also David took some on his camera which I will post.

I had a nice surprise as well, firstly my other Son turned up with his young lady, apparently David and him had thought I would decide on the trip to Norwich! Then after meeting a few folk from the forum and seeing that all was well, caught the end of the Service in the Cathedral, their choir is outstanding and the organ sounded great.  Had a nice lunch and drove home a happy bunny!

Photos …As you can see a murky day but hopefully as David has ringed the birds in red on the photos…you will be able see them, obviously the chaps on the forum have much larger lenses.
