Southwold Walk…

As it was a strange weather day yesterday, after the storm we had, Jan and I decided to take ourselves to the seaside for some fresh air…

Had a nice long walk along the sea front, and down to the pier, a nice lot of folk about, some swimming and those trying to get dressed into clothes again with the usual problem of keeping the towel in place whilst getting out of wet swimming gear! Oh dear lots of sand in the wrong places…

We had a lovely ice cream (thanks Jan) I had pear and apple Jan had toffee apple, so if you want a treat try them!  then we wandered around town… ending up at the Adnam's tea shop… looked at all the wines beers and lovely kitchen things, but were good did not buy! Then a lovely cup of tea (real tea with a strainer as well!) with a slice of passion cake (whoops diet gone, I owe you Jan)

Sat under the tree in the shade, with the chorus of seagulls screaming over head watching the world go by… then walked back to the car… very nice thanks Jan for making Friday afternoon great.

We sat under this tree having a lovely cuppa (not beer) at Adnam's!

This seagull was a nice quiet one !

nice and cool on the pier…

to the coast…
To the sea!
And it would not be a trip to Southwold without a glimpse of the lighthouseÚ
