Evening July Walk

A lovely walk on a Saturday evening with a cool breeze blowing after a hot humid day, took these few photo's hoping they would show you what a great little place Beccles is....
These two geese decided to pose for me!
Seems so peaceful doesn't it...
Not as good as some people can take. (Dive and Katie) but have done my best with my little camera...
Nice lot of boats in for the summer..
We came across these newly put up notices, and hope you can click on them and read about our history...
Great little piece of local news that should get some people to the Beccles Museum!
That is if they get this far up the river bank......

What a glorious sunset!

Those geese, by the way are Muscovy ducks.

These are delightful photos! You do live in a lovely town; wonderful place to take an evening stroll.

You will have to get Dive to take you up the river wall Katie, he has not been for ages and will notice a lot of difference...

The council are trying hard to make the most of our river, as it is a great asset to the town....

What a lovely peaceful place. Great to walk along the river after a hot day. I couldn't quite read the signs, so would love to know more about the area history.

Oscar looks like he knows how to stay cool.

Hi Lupine Lady..

My uncle Eugene Ulph used to write in the local paper, and one of our cousins has collected all the stories and made a book called "Time Remembered"... I think I bought the boys one each, very interesting....I love all local history..... will try and get a better photo of the dig they are doing at the moment...

I also have a scrap book of newspaper cuttings that he gathered, and I am still collecting little snippets myself, hopefully the boys will enjoy them all one day.....

How lucky you live where you can walk by the water! Those are lovely pictures and I'm sure Katie would love to walk there of an evening (and I would too!). Walking around the neighborhood, as I just did, just isn't the same.

What a lovely walk you had. I've never seen geese, or ducks or whatever, like that. The geese we have here are mostly Canada geese, and they make a huge mess.
