Henham Steam Rally

Jan and I went to Henham to see James and Liz and their Silver Bus... and we had a great time thousands of people, sunshine, so a few pics to give you an idea of what a good day it was...
I have so many but tried to just post a few to let you see what we can do in this bit of East Anglia.....
Liz and James in the queue for some yummy chips... well you have to start with your tummy don't you!!!!!
These next two pics are really for Lesley and Eric (our favourite Littledoggie)....... as he loves his ice cream as well!!!
They certainly got through them in a hurry......
These buxom ladies were with the lovely people who dressed up to parade in the main ring...
A few more!!
My dear friend Lynn who came as a sexy milkmaid.....
Now do not be sad this is empty!!!! great horses...
Transport has improved but you must admit it is very pretty...
Would not fancy Norwich to London in this...
Great Shire horse...
How about this beauty...
A few tractors..
Well how could I not take this little lad...he was hoping for a ride...
Threshing machine we here call it troshing!!!!
Some yummy old cars...
pretty aren't they..
A slick sporty one
Now how do you fancy trying to ride one of those on that rough grass...
Some of the buses in the show...

Liz and James in their bus... which is why we went....hope you can see how many people are at the show....
And here is the silver bus.......
And again

Another brilliant day out!
Great to see Lizard and James, though she'll slap me for pointing out the beginnings of a muffin-top in the chip queue photo (OW!) … No more chips for you, young lady!

I love the costumes and the vintage machinery. Wonderful. I've not been to Henham Steam Rally for decades and I might pop along next year if it doesn't clash with Goodwood.

Oh wow Beryl...fantastic photos. :-0
Your blog has really blossomed since your first tentative posts when you didn't know what you were going to put on here.
What a great day out...so pleased the sun shone brightly for everyone.
Our Sarah would love those buses, we can't keep her off of them around here. lol

What a great event! We've just had our fair here, but it isn't anything like yours with lots of interesting things to see and history. Ours is more barns full of animals and rides run by creepy looking people who scare the locals.

Nice pictures! This looks like a great way to teach the kids (or er..myself) a little history! Lucky that you had the same great weather weekend for this event that Dive did. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I love those horse drawn carriages, even the hearse! How do you manage to post so many photos? I can only get blogger to accept five photos.
And Alifan, could we have some more photos of young Dive please?
I adore your cakes, I want to sink my teeth into that beautiful icing. I love the rich fruit cakes with thick, thick icing.
