October…

Good morning Jazzers… October has arrived and we are still waiting for things to get back to so called normal, which does not seem will be for a while yet, some of it is because not everyone thinks the virus is something they should take notice of, so many people are suffering because of a few selfish people. But I feel us in Suffolk and Norfolk are taking things more serious and behaving.

I have been shopping a few times but do not like having to queue to get out again! but needs must, when I was little like a lot of you no doubt…we had to queue for everything, and with ration books as well, and we are still able to buy nice things to eat…even if would love the supermarkets to have more fresh veg which is not wrapped in plastic!!!!

The one thing I find that hurts is not seeing people, getting lonely at this age is not good, and I am lucky to have great family and friends, but miss being able to meet up with most of them, which I have no doubt you are all feeling as well… so we have to stay safe and pray that this virus will die down, so we can all get back to jazzing again.

Nice to hear from June and Les … sending good wishes to all who look in on here. As does Roy Symonds had a nice chat with him during the week. Jan always sends her best to everyone, we do meet up as often as we can, thank goodness for e mail and face book where I do share some thoughts.
June Rushmore sends her best to one and all as well, I do miss her …

Face Book seems good especially as so many music lovers are on there, and all those musicians who are unable to play at gigs at the moment have found ways of sharing their music.

We did not have any takers on who the people were in Neil's photo last week, but then I could only guess a couple, but hopefully a few more photos from him sometime with some answers!!!

It will be Tony Jullings birthday tomorrow I think …hope he still looks in here…so Happy Birthday to him and any one else who has a birthday in our Jazz crowd.

I am still trying to get on with this blog as like face book it has changed, but on here it is not easy to find how to change things it seems to have a mind of it's own.

But have found a way to post photos, so must be learning… these are from last October so try and remember the great times we had and will I am sure have again…
