Sole Bay Jazz Band & Friends

This Thursday evening at The Sports Pavilion Ditchingham… The Sole Bay Jazz Band minus a few and plus a few …completely wowed the rather more full audience …

So thank you one and all a super night of talent…Great to see Mick back on bass (even though we miss you Tony, get better soon)Mick always has a great smile on his face, does not like solos but does them brilliantly…Craig on those drums always a pleasure…Ray on the piano who surprised us all by playing trumpet for several numbers we do miss him on that, so Ray maybe a couple of numbers more often? Derek  nice work… always worry that stool is too high! Tim, well great playing as always and enjoying himself… as did they all which makes a difference to the audience …and how nice to welcome Phil Brooks on his guitar, as everyone knows I am a great guitar fan, and he certainly did make some great sounds… Greg turned up and played his harmonica we have not seen him for a while, then our Barry who took on a couple of different style songs as well as a couple of rather nice ones. Could not resist the 2 photos …

So all in all a rather fabulous evening of live music…

The difference the microphones made was amazing (thanks Ray for the loan)

I thank you all for digging deep for the raffle as always and as I mentioned great to see a good crowd with not so many empty seats… thank you Christine for getting lovely prizes and for doing the raffle, and of course our 'boys" for folding all those tickets…

Thanks for our lady behind the bar who's name I always forget… you did a grand job. Thanks Jon for your help from the bar, everything goes to getting these talented people to play each Thursday night…and for the rather good raffles we have.

Fudge took some great photos over on face book… I could not manage to get everyone in together so wandered around taking a few, realised did not get Ray playing the piano whoops!

Hope all those who were unwell and could not make it soon feel better…
