Sole Bay Jazz with Friends…

Another great night of live music from the Sole Bay Jazz Band and Friends, at The Sports Pavilion Ditchingham…

I must apologise to Alan as left his name off the line up last week! whoops… sorry Alan have added it rather late! Happy Birthday for next week.

Thanks to one and all, nice to see a good crowd coming along to enjoy live  music, it was so good to hear all those gentlemen playing so well and looking happy …you were all great.

As most of the regulars know Ron Hockett will be going back to America at the end of the year, (hope you do not mind me putting that Ron)…so we are very lucky to have him come and play for us, and hopefully will be back again next week so do not worry. He had one of his American friends with him who tells me he looks in on the blog when he is home in the USA so thanks for that. Hope you still will when you have Ron back there.

Thanks Clover and Chris for doing the raffle, and of course the ticket folders, also Heidi for all her help and happy smile. Fudge should be back next week, we have missed you young lady!!!!am sure you Jess and Robin will be looking on here.

The Coven table was great …lovely to see Halloween celebrated in such a happy way, I hope someone took a photo I did not get a chance so you will have to look back to last years to see how good they looked then.

Sorry Tony if I kept forgetting you had the camera set up! lots of people taking photos last night as well.

How great to see Simon, Kim and Sheila again, never the same without them, and good to know you are getting better Simon, we all are all wishing for you to come back and sing for us. Mood Indigo always seems better with you singing it, even though it reminds us all of Keith, that is a good thing. Keep up the good work…

Sadly next week some of us will be saying farewell to one of our dear friends Don Friston who has been such a great supporter of the Sole Bay Jazz, what a great fight you put up Don we love you and you will be missed, and the lovely tunes you always requested. We seem to have lost a lot of dear friends of the jazz over the past years so hope you are all looking down and enjoying it from afar.

Our Tony looking up for me!
