Jazz at the Club…

A rather good lunchtime of jazz and blues at the Conservatory Club in Beccles today…

The Footwarmers as were are really no more… No Mike or Bill…however Roy- Ian -Dave- Barry -Brian -kicked up a storm.

As time goes on of course we lose some of our talented players hopefully to be replaced, but today was Dave Taylor's time to play his drums for us one last time, time to grow old gracefully he says, we all send our love Dave and thank you for all your hard work, not an easy job to move drums and set up and be the last to leave a gig, we will miss you. But expect you to be in the audience now!

Barry gave us some great piano and vocals, Brian on bass, Ian on Sax and vocals as well as Roy on sax and vocals, voice has come back we hear Roy well done.

The thing about these guys is it is always good and really happy with lots of fun.

Not much of a crowd however lovely to see some of the Thursday night crowd from The Sports Pavilion coming along…there is always a good raffle to be had at the Club as well. As well as Burgers!

I find it a bit sad that some people think that Jazz is just one thing …it marries so many different styles of music, so lets get a few more people listening to these gentlemen who give up their time to play live music.

The Beccles Conservative Club is a good venue come along next month and give it a try, it is open day so not just members are welcomed.
