Another year gone by, and back to Henham again, last year mainly old buses was the theme, this year gorgeous horses......as well as the steam engines as always....
This is Rocky, he was so calm, as were all the Suffolk Punches..... we sat on a straw bale and watched them parage round, and they are great in everyway.....
The lady driving this carriage has lovingly restored it but the horse she obviously loves and it was so smart...we watched the classic cars as well, but think I put them on here last year....
Do not remember seeing this last year.....there were lots of woodcutters of course and some of their work was wonderful...
In the tents were the crafts, amazing how good some people are, lace making and spinning wheels, could not take photo's of everything, but all the old crafts there....
Plus those great steam organs playing away all the time, very nice indeed...
And of course meeting lots of old friends as one wandered around, always great... (and if you are looking in Bev and Tony sorry we missed you, at the hog roast, but thanks for the lovely evening last night.).....mmmmm ..yes the hog roast, (sorry vegetarians)....was yummy.
This of course is what it all used to be about getting troshed! how they managed to keep this going each year is amazing....just imagine what it used to be like for all those farm workers.....In the tents were the crafts, amazing how good some people are, lace making and spinning wheels, could not take photo's of everything, but all the old crafts there....

Thanks for taking me Ivan I know how much you wanted to go, and I said I didn't ....but I really did enjoy it all.....

Woohoo! Henham is such fun!
What an awesome set of photos.
The horses are beautiful, as are the steam engines (particularly the bonsai one), but my favourite has to be the troshing engine. Great to see it still getting used.
Yes very dusty that, but nice for the youngsters to see how it used to be done....
Must look up 'troshing.' This looks like a terrific fun thing to go to; reminds of of the Common Ground Fair in Maine, where there are lots of exhibits on how things used to be done as well as the wonderful horses and sheep dog trials.
Ha ha Cynthia, Dive will tell you all about troshing......glad you liked the photo's
This looks like a VERY fun event. Delightful set of photos.
