That'll Be The Day

The musical on Saturday night was so very good, they do two different shows a year and have collections for Childline.. so far in two years they have raised thousands for the charity, and I am not surprised..

I did not know what to expect, but talking to some friends in the foyer before hand, they had been several times, and so it would seem had most of the audience.. as it was an audience participation musical....had sore hands from so much clapping....

Starting off in the 50's and through to the 80's it is amazing how many songs they got through, and how they sounded..... the clothes were terrific..

They dressed as near to the stars as they could and some of them it was hard to tell from the real thing. From Dusty Springfield, The New Seekers... and Freddie of course from Queen...there was Country and Western, and Rock and Roll, The Beatles, Shaking Stevens. Dolly Parton. The Shadows, and Dive as I told you some of the guitar playing nearly came up to your standard...... tee hee as Ame would say....

I could not believe how talented so few people could be, there were jokes in between, and they ended up rather rude, but no swearing just true life....they did The Proclaimers 500 miles and the two men were in silly kilts and ginger wigs, and everyone had to sing....and they did well so did I....

Mick Jagger was so funny, he had skin tight animal print tights and you can imagine some of the jokes....

The last 1o minutes they had all the audience on their feet, and rocking in the aisle, there were of course a lot of us OAP's in the theatre, and one dear old chap near me, had his walking stick and no teeth, having a wonderful time, I was thinking I may have had to give the kiss of life, he was really getting with it, and he could not have been a day under 80!

Would certainly go and see it if you get a chance, I see by the programme that they are showing all over the country, and will be back with a different show at Lowestoft in September.....

So all in all a great night, thanks to my friend who once again took me, hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.....
