What a wonderful evening of Jazz…

 I feel blessed that I was taken to Jazz last evening, Thanks JJ , plus Sandy Neil for getting us home,…as our Sole Bay Band and special friends played for us, and what a night! such talent from everyone, looking forward to Tony and the videos… thanks as always Fudge for the photos…

Thanks to our talented band of players we heard such great music played,  it was nice to see that Tim had  more company on the front line, and what a trio they were, music and songs and fun…Thank you so much.

Nice to see a few extra people, plenty of room for more! Did get so caught up with the music, didn't get round to chat to many friends, but you know I love you all…and so glad to be back among you.

Thanks to Christine and Clover for the raffle, and Janice folding all the tickets…! Fudge doing her fun raffle with Tim, hope the bites soon improve Fudge take care. The bar a bit busier… thanks Kelly… As for the raffle maybe we should have paid double last evening, have  been to some great musical events in my life but never heard such great playing for the price of a raffle ticket… Well done to all.

Glad to see you feeling a bit better Ray, bet you wanted to be playing…We are all getting older of course and we have had some great fans of the band pass on, but always we know they are looking down on us and still enjoying the music and we think of all those with such fond memories and of all those who are unable to get to the gigs as well.

Old times

 Last night Christine had found an old photo from the past days of Jazz nights.

She has sent it to me, and so will pop it on here, because it shows our Don having fun with us, and now he has gone to join our pals up there in the sky, such a lovely man we will miss you, but never forget you x

I have not always managed to get to jazz as often as I would like since Covid, but am loving being back amongst my lovely friends, although we are just a few nowadays, sadly, I always hope that we can get some Jazz lovers to join us, as the Band are truly talented and its a great night out. 

Thanks to JJ's Son who gave us a lift  there last evening and thanks to Sandy and Neil for getting us home.

Christine managed well with the raffle tickets, considering no Clover or Janice! well done, and for Fudge who always makes the raffle fun…Thanks to Kelly behind the bar, and of course the lovely people who love Jazz and especially our Jazz Gentlemen of the Sole Bay who play for us weekly at Ditchingham, Come along and see how great it is…

 Good morning Jazzers… Rather late this week, sorry been under the weather…So missed the evening…

Great Jazz…

 Great evening of live Jazz as always the gentlemen play so well, and although the audience was rather sparse,  a really enjoyable Jazz night. I do realise that I did have a few months when I was not at jazz, but so glad to be back, and we have lost a few dear friends in those years, would be nice to find a few more lovers of live music. especial  thanks to those who ferry us back and forth.

I do hope that a few more folk manage to get along to keep the band going, as the raffle and bar help thanks Kelly,  and thanks to Chris and Clover for the raffle  and Janice folding the tickets…and of course Fudge for her fun when the raffle is called! but we need bottoms on seats to keep these fine musicians playing for us.

Barry came along and sung a few songs… been missing for a few weeks…that mike still playing up!!! and Martin sang as well…

Everyone played a few solos and as always when Tim and Martin play either saxophone or clarinet, they are so talented. Ray on the piano again so great as are Mick… lovely deep bass, and Alan, that banjo sounding good…really nice to hear some drum solos from Rob, he has fitted in well when Craig is unable to play.

Looking forward to Tony's videos. he looked like he had a bit of a problem last night with the camera, so lets hope all is well.
