Good morning jazzers… what a great night for us all at Ditchingham, well once everyone managed to find their way because of the diversions !
The line up was different but glad a few more folk there to watch and listen.
Just want to say a big thank you to all my friends that have managed to get me back to jazz, you know who you are… I did not have Covid, however I shut myself away for so long it was hard to get back to normality! Great to see Clover back …a lovely lady and friend. Our barmaid was back as well…would have loved her in my days of running our pub…
Now last evening was different as I have said, and although not as old jazz as some would have liked it was entertaining, and how lucky are we to have such brilliant jazz musicians to play for us.
Lovely to see Martin again, he always manages to make the evenings entertaining getting everyone going, thanks Martin for welcoming me back…Phil of course guitar magic, A nice surprise when Ray came along at the end to play the trumpet, nice drumming from Craig always brilliant, Barry with the piano and a few songs, Mick on that bass always with a smile on his face…Alan as always making it all happen with organising the talent…
Some really great playing and thanks as always to Fudge who takes great photos so we can enjoy them on here and FB.
A young child Cherry with her dad Mark, have been coming along now and again, different and not jazz, but nice to see that the band is open to new talent!
It was rather a cool evening as not sure where the heating was! but I was sitting in a draught so I apologise to those I may have offended by me getting up and shutting the door so often!!! But JJ and Rosemary had some goodies that they shared so that was good!
Looking forward to Tony's videos as sitting further back cannot always see the band well…

Good Evening. Just dropping a line to say hello, I've been off the radar for a little while whilst settling in to my role as a commercial claims handler at Aviva. Hoping to make a bit of a comeback soon. But it's lovely to see this going still. Can't wait to come along again at some point. Pass my regards to the band. Henry (Tenor Player).
Lovely to hear from you Henry. I am sure you would always be welcome x
