A very different evening at The Sports Pavilion Ditchingham, with some of the Sole Bay Jazz Band and Guests…
I know all the players agree it was one of the oldest line ups we have had playing there, so thanks gentlemen a nice varied amount of music.
Nice to see Dave back on the drums again, Ray on piano…always a pleasure…Tony making the bass sing…Alan on guitar and banjo…Geoff on trumpet and some vocals…Derek saxophone.…clarinet…Barry on vocals…
A good crowd with some new faces, and a big thank you for all those who gave so generously to the raffle, I doubt if it had anything to do with my message from my last sole bay diary entry, but one or two people mentioned my plea!! as our audiences have been getting smaller, and we certainly do not want to lose our great talented band members. The raffle means a big deal and where can you get an evenings live band for less than a £5 so keep digging deep jazz fans to keep the party going…
Alan says he has a good line up ready for next week, so do come along…
Thanks Clover for doing the raffle, as always great prizes, and Duncan & Don for folding all those tickets.
Our Emily was away so our other young barmaid served us well…
Fudge has some good photos on her FB page, mine are not that good but will pop them on.
