Sole Bay Jazz Band fun night…

Some really good fun and laughs with The Sole Bay Jazz Band last evening…the audience showing appreciation with all that applause.

Tim nice to see him taking charge and everyone getting a play so glad that it was a very upbeat night of music…Loved the nice bright shirts as well!

Love to see the laughs between Tim, Chris and Derek have not seen Derek smile so much for ages, and playing well even if he made us jump sometimes with high notes ha ha…

Great string bass as always from our Tony, Craig great drumming good to see you back… Alan on guitar and banjo and Ray on piano, some great singing from Chris, always everything put into it…and Jenny gave us a couple of numbers great to hear her again. Sorry photo did not come out well of Jenny so she would not thank me for putting it on. Fudge has a good one on FB.

I did not write a blog last week I do not miss many weeks…(mainly because of real life… supporting some dear friends who were sorting out a funeral and yesterday we said farewell to a dear neighbour,)  so from sad to happy as the band gelled and really cheered everyone up… it was a really good old happy upbeat band of the past. So thanks Sole Bay and friends a 'blast from the past'.

Thanks to Christine and Clover for the raffle well done to all you who dig deep who with Jon's support we get to have live music each week. of course to our 'boys' who faithfully fold all the tickets.

Thanks young Emily smiling as always and nice to have you back…

A few missing who were not well so we wish you a 'get well soon' but a better crowd this week

Hi Beryl - glad you enjoyed last Thurs 'blow'
Sadly, that was probably my swansong! The awful truth is that no amount of home practise keeps me up to gig standard - I lose technique, forget many of the tunes I've played in my 50-odd years of jazzing, so one gig a year just doesn't do it.

Thanks for your warm support through the years - I expect I'll see you around.

Much love.......Chris. C.
