Sole Bay Jazz + Guests + Friends…

Well that was rather a good evening of jazz… at the Sports Pavilion Ditchingham

A good crowd came along to enjoy a first half of great jazz, and some vocals from Simon Denny (nice to see you back Simon) and Tony P…

Not enough chairs and some were kept for people that were expected later, which of course meant that some of the regulars had to stand, but as always some very thoughtful folk brought along garden chairs…

The second half after the raffle (thank you for those who let me talk them into paying a bit more)…

The 'friends' then arrived, …Ron Hockett and Ray Simmons who brought a Clarinet and Trumpet,  also  we had  melody from a harmonica for one number …sorry think his name was Geoff I apologise if I have got the name wrong… so much happening at that time…

So the fun began, so much banter going on with the musicians either playing all together, and others playing musical chairs as they sat out on some numbers, so created a great sound and also the audience were treated to a real jazz session, so thank you one and all…

Still some folk who do not come to hear the jazz and persisted in chatting all the way through, but thankfully the band played some loud numbers so it drowned them out!!

So I do hope that everyone appreciated how brilliant these musicians were as they just set to and provided us with a superb night of music and fun…

I did take a lot more photos but I was so into the music, the old hands were shaking, but I know a lot of folk took some as well… but hope you can see how good it was and how lucky were we to be party of listening to them all…

Thanks Heidi as always a bright smile and how busy you were, well done…

Hope to see a nice crowd again next week to support these fine musicians…And of course thanks to all my friends who gather around on a Thursday night and make it a lovely evening…
