SOLE BAY JAZZ FOR EASTER…

Every week I get more and more amazed at the talent we have locally, and last night at the Sports Pavilion Ditchingham… The Sole Bay Gentlemen, gave us a really great start to the Easter Break, with a wonderful melodic full on Jazz night of live music…

What  great crowd again as well as the usual fans , nice to see even more new faces there to support the Band…

Everything went so well, some really great playing, with some pretty awe inspiring solos from them all…Sorry we have not got enough seats for all who support the band, but when Jon has the new building done maybe we will have enough then!

Ray taking over the master of ceremony's roll and organising everyone to take turns in providing is with some very  sweet sounds, not sure April showers was apt ha ha. But that solo of Georgia was something special…

Tim as always a great player, and with all the cheeky comments… with Tony P on the trombone so soft and moody, mmmm and the voice was great… pity you had a problem with the mike but you even turned that into a great laugh…

Alan who spends so much time organising the line ups each week, playing guitar and banjo with gusto. Tony J that sweet bass was swinging last night, and Craig, who was not feeling good with a very bad cold , played like the devil was on his shoulder, so well done young man you got the applause you deserved, great playing.

Roy gave us some vocals as well, loved them all but the slow one was very nice Roy…keep smiling…

Thanks Jazz Janet for helping me with the raffle, and didn't we do well! As it is free to come and listen to the band, it is so nice to see each week people who listen manage to dig in for the raffle as it is what helps to have this live music every Thursday night.

Thanks Jan for taking me, bet you will be glad when I can drive again! but again I must say thanks to all who came to support the band, and I know you had a great time by the amount of cheering.

Heidi, well I say it each week, what a great little barmaid you make, never flustered, always with a smile, and you were so busy as well so glad Jon arrived at the end to help clear up.

Nice to have some Easter goodies to eat, we had a nice lot on our table but the Coven table will not be hungry toady ha ha…

Hope to take some photos when eyes get better, in the meantime you I hope will enjoy my ramble on as it was a superb evening of live music, Thanks Sole Bay…
