Last evening at the Sports Pavilion Ditchingham… The Sole Bay Jazz Band gave a very full venue a good night of live music with gusto.
Every week a different line up brings us some great music and it was the same last evening.
Tim …Ray… Derek …on the front line… gave us some lovely jazz and blues and like us in the audience they enjoyed themselves and it showed.
Our great back line with Alan…Tony …Craig, kept the beat going in fact Craig gave us all one of the best drum solos we have heard for a long time…
So thank you Sole Bay, once again you have brought your talent to us who are great fans and provided us all with a smile to take home …
Thanks as always to Heidi, busy lady! always with a smile…
Thank you all for your contributions to the band via the raffle, it helps keep the Thursday nights going… After all most gigs cost a lot to even enter a hall and we have the talent of fine musicians for the price of a raffle ticket…

Monday 12th May… well I missed the jazz but the buzz is that everyone had a great time listening to those talented musicians.
Unfortunately Craig had an eye problem, but Dave Taylor took over playing Drums so all was good…
Ron…Tim…Ray on Piano with our backline 'boys' played well for the smaller crowd there, so get your togs on for this week for another great line up which will post soon…

Hope to be back amongst you this week and with new specs at last after 6 weeks of haze will be able to see you clearly, so watch out!

Sole Bay Jazz NIght…
Another great night of live music at the Sports Pavilion Ditchingham last evening…
I have to say (again) how lucky we are to have such talent playing for us every Thursday night, such a great venue, and a friendly crowd each week.
A few regular fans missing last night, so hope all the ops went well and the coughs and cold are soon better …missed you Heidi. Roy hope all will be well with Mum, Bill hope Dad gets some good news. Stella take care of that cough…
With such a line up of course it was going to be special and to add to the music we had Simon Denny and Roy Symonds singing for us.
Tim…Derek…Bill on the front line playing with their usual style…and the as always great playing at the back Craig…Alan…Tony… and the added finger flying Ray on the piano a great night…
Thanks June for giving me a lift, stepping in for Jan, soon be able to drive again I hope, and thanks for all the specs jokes (not ha ha) getting to feel these past 5 weeks have been long without being able to see clearly but hopefully soon will be back to some sort of normal. Then can see to take some photos again!
It will be nice to do the raffle and see people properly, thanks for bearing with me, and thanks to Jazz Janet who helped a lot on some weeks. It is good that we can give the band a little extra with your help, as most places you would have to pay a lot for entrance fee, and we do want them to keep giving us such great Live Music…
