This rose is called Evelyn May. which was my Mothers name, and Jan got both my brothers and me one it is a pity you cannot smell the perfume it is delicious....
And this little beauty is my oriental poppy which never blooms where it should this year it decided to come up near my pot of courgettes, and feverfew.....

These little beauties were waiting for our scraps they were not very lucky though because the fish and chips were gorgeous, especially with the Adnams beer batter!!!!

Southwold again!!!!

Well spoilt once again!!! and I know I have a lot of Southwold on my blog, but it is a great place...Jan phoned up and said Fish and Chips... well how could I refuse!!!!!!!and Dive we have crab and cockles for tea......sorry....could not resist another pic of the old hut, are you drooling yet???
Also wish I had Fulls camera with me, as the planes gather over Southwold before heading for the flypast in London.... managed to get a few shots.......great to see them although Jan does not like all the noise!!!
Not bad with just my little digi camera
As you can tell by the sky the weather was very changable one minute beautiful sunshine the next..... when Jan and I were on the beach miles away from the car....it tipped down with rain... 2 wet people, well what does it matter we had wet feet anyway!!!!!!
You can see the storm clouds coming we just kept walking though!!!! mad bints hey!!!
This is a footprint of my big foot and Jan's little one, told you we were mad......
And this is us having a paddle, and yes it was lovely....but when it rained we walked very fast back to the harbour, we did wonder if we could run, but decided against it!!! tee hee...
Yet another pic of Walberswick from the harbour, seagulls again!!!
The old water tower near the common....did take some pics of our fish and chips , but thought it might make your mouths water if I put them on...Thanks again Jan and D for including me.
And when I got home this is one of the little blue tits that was waiting in my tree.....he was really good and let me take him, and Oscar sat and watched whilst licking his lips. but he has been very good this year, and we have had lots of baby birds all hatched and safe..... who said fingers crossed.....

South Pacific.........

Once again I have been spoiled by Jan with her daughter to another trip to the Theatre Royal in Norwich....This time to see Rodgers and Hammerstein's South Pacific...

None of us had been feeling particularly healthy of late, and did not know till the last minute whether we should go or not..... but oh boy am I glad we made it...

You all know that it is about the Americans during World War 2, and it was brilliant...

The Live music making it a bonus, (no French horns though Robyn).....

The lead of Emile de Becque was played by David Willetts, and what an actor and the voice... mmm.Helena Blackman (she came second in the search for Maria on TV) played Ensign Nellie Forbush, and what a talent, I know some of you (Dive) think that these TV reality music programmes are a waste of time, but it certainly brought her to the forefront, and she also was really great...

The scenery was fantastic, so much going on and it is not a great big stage, but all the shows make a great job of using the space to make you feel it is huge....in fact it is a great Theatre, will have to get Dive or Full to take a picture of it although it is the inside that really thrills.....

The songs were sung to perfection... and the dancing and everything made you feel really good...

Oh yes and some great young men with really nice bodies..!!!!I know at my age I should not look!!!!!

A Filipina lady played Bloody Mary and what a voice.....she was a short plump lady but she was certainly blessed with that voice..... her daughter played by a dear little Japanese young lady (Dive) just like you admire)........Kanako Nakano, what a sweet little thing she was....and there were 2 little children Ngana and Jerome playing 2 Philippines they were really cute and had such sweet voices.....

Another one to mention was Christopher Howell who played Luther Billis, he was so funny, and when he dressed as a girl in a grass skirt for part of the show they put on well I thought he would never be able to talk through the audience as we were laughing so much at the sight of him....and when Lt Joseph Cable played by Ian Mclarnon, got killed near the end you could have heard a pin drop in between the sniffles from us all.......

The songs are so well known like ...Some Enchanted Evening... Bali Ha'i, ....I'm gonna wash that man right out of my hair.... Wonderful guy..... Younger than Springtime to name but a few, and of course Happy Talk, so in the end your mind is so full of songs that you go around with a smile on your face for ages....

At the end they took so many curtain calls our hands were red hot with clapping...

I thank you again Jan for all you do for me, and I must say that was a really Feelgood show....bet Liz is still singing........

Baby Blackbird

Wish I had a bigger zoom lens on the camera, this is one of the new brood that I am trying to convince Oscar is not his dinner!!!!
The daddy blackbird was splashing in one of the bird baths, and a couple of sparrow's were sitting on the bath edge having a shower, great sight, pity I was not quick enough with the camera....

Martin Taylor Concert...

No this is not a picture of Martin!!! but it is the Old Granary where they have marvelous concerts.... and where I have just arrived home from..
The little stage has seen some wonderful talented people and is a great place, everyone is so friendly..
This is a terrible pic of Martin, but Dive will have wanted to see what make of guitar it was, and I could not get closer.....
So being the mad bint that my sons always call me, I went back for autographs and said my photo's had not come out well, so asked could I take one of him there, so he promptly told me to give the camera to someone and I could have one taken with him...

Well it was a pleasure, such a nice man and I felt very happy to be taken with such a talented person, will make sure I go and see him next time he plays there...

Thank's A and B for the company......

I am off to listen to the cd I bought!!!!!
