Morning Jazzers

Well here we are again…A rainy morning here, after yesterdays nice weather…But Spring will soon be here.

Thursday again, and was thinking …although some of you look in…If I remember we had at least 70 people who used to attend the Jazz… so why is it just a few who help me and send photos in???? Come on Jazzers some of you must have some giggle photos to put on here? Or send some news to cheer… we all miss the music and company.

I do hope some of you have had your 1st Vaccination …I had mine last Thursday, some have had the second as well, so we just pray it will work and we can start getting back to some sort of normal.

I am amazed at how the Dr's …Nurses and helpers as well as all care people, Teachers… even kind people who have found the time to help with peoples shopping etc there are so many good people in our Country, sadly not all are doing there bit and following the rules, so hopefully they will realise one day that this is real.

I know a lot of people do not agree with Face Book but this crisis has certainly brought it in a better light when one can Face Time with loved ones and Music can still be heard from musicians and we can keep in touch with friends far away. Tony Nicholls does a grand job of putting videos on the Sole Bay Jazz site ass well.

If you want me and Neil to continue with some news to keep you all ready to get back to live music , please get in touch, several people have phoned and mailed which is lovely, but a lot of jazz people are like me, on their own …so get finding a few things to keep this blog going!

Neil has been good again and found some more photos, and I have had yet another look back to 2012/13…also Face Book sent another one from 4 years ago so this will be a look back with photos.

Another one from 4 years ago

Good morning Jazzers…

Another Thursday without the Sole Bay Jazz Band, but let us hope that soon all will be much better and we can meet up again and enjoy good music,

Hope you are all staying safe and not mixing with others, mmm that is very hard, and very bad for mental health, however we must try our best and take one day at a  time, and pray that one day our country will be more back to normal.

I hear a few of you have already had the vaccine injection, I have had my first one this morning. Just getting warm with a nice cup of tea back home. They were very good at Reydon but a long way to go when one is nervous, my lovely daughter in law took me, they were very well organised there, but very glad did not have to go on a bus, as it was very cold and windy, and had to wait a while after we got there as there was a medical emergency… whoops just what one does not need after being stuck indoors for weeks and it is your first outing! But they were good although the fifteen minutes, seemed more like an hour as they had all the windows open, but did some deep breathing and made sure I did not start thinking ' am I feeling any different' all in the mind if someone tells you you may be ill one thinks one will! So next one booked for April!

Neil sent me some great photos again, so thanks to him also for always being there for me, lovely to hear from Sandy as well, how we miss people.

Nice chat with Duncan yesterday, he has had his jab…and glad to say Colin seems to be about the same, also had call from June and Les, they are doing fine and have their vaccine jabs tomorrow. Waiting to hear from Craig as well a promised phone call. Do keep in touch if you would like to have something put on here, Tony Nicholls does put some great music of the band on Face Book, but not everyone has FB.

Here goes with some photos…

Morning Jazzers

Good morning Jazzers on this very wet January morning. I hope you are all staying safe and abiding by the rules unlike some people who seem to think they know better!

All our Dr's and Nurses, Teachers and Carers…are under so much stress so we need to realise how lucky we are to just be staying home.

Some of you have been lucky to have had the vaccine, so far have heard nothing from the Beccles area!!here's hoping us older ones can safely get ours soon, thank goodness my daughter in law who works at Norfolk and Norwich Hospital her turn came yesterday, as all front line people should have.

Neil has sent me some photos some people I do not remember but always good to get them, and hope some of you will have good memories of them,  I have also done another trawl through the old ones so enjoy.

Ian Murray has a birthday soon, so good wishes to him and to anyone else who's birthday it is this month.

Here we go again!

Good morning Jazzers on this cold and frightening morning of lockdown.

But I hope not all  bad news…I hear some of you have had your 'Jab's', so that is good, let us hope the government have got enough sorted to go around to all of us.

I feel, as I know many of you do, that our front line staff and all in the caring world, are needing us to behave so they can cope, it breaks my heart to see the state of some of the Dr's and Nurses on TV, and the news seems horrible.

But we must get the old war spirit back, and plod on day by day doing what we can to help, by trying to keep cheerful, and music does that for us all, so thanks Tony for putting the videos on FB of Sole Bay, as we miss you all so much.

Alistair has been popping on and singing and making us laugh on our fan site, we have had some zoom meets and he has done a great job of lifting our spirits with music  although sorry news there, as some of our 'Alistair family' have lost loved ones to covid, and some young ones have got it, so love and care to them.

I do hope you are all managing to cope and are practising those instruments ready for when, hopefully we will all be able to have live music again.

I have not heard much from folk this week, with photos…so have popped on my blog from years ago… and at random picked a few photos…some may have been on before…So have enjoy…Stay safe…
