Good morning Jazzers…

Good morning all…a day late for the Thursday blog… sorry have been rather busy…

JUST HEARD FROM ALAN, ALL IS OK FOR MONDAY NIGHT, ENJOY.

These just arrived on FB memories …those were the days…or rather nights…6 years ago.

The gig on Monday is still on, I hope, perhaps  someone in charge will let me know.

The reason of worry is that The Geldeston Locks has had to close at the moment, as staff have tested positive to Covid. now the Band did an outside gig there, but Monday night will be inside. however as far as I know it will go ahead. But please take care. I am not meaning to put anyone off because they need to get the gigs started again. Hopefully all will be well. If I hear anything more I will put it on here and the FB page.

Some photos that turned up on Face Book Memories… so will pop them on here. Plus Alistair is still going round the country on his NHS tour.

So here is hoping for a great evening of live music again...

Good morning Jazzers…

Good morning one and all, I hope you are all enjoying the sunshine, although the heat has been rather humid, and not always comfortable…also the garden has been proving rather full of nasty things that bite!!! As have never had much problem with bites and stings before …this year has been for me and many others an itchy time! had to give in and go to Pharmacy for advice because I had some bad reactions to some of them, and as my garden is really my life at the moment,  it has been hard.

I do remember when Fudge got her Hornet bites wow they were bad…

The 2nd of August, as far as I know is still going on,  live music with the Sole Bay at Ditchingham,  so wish everyone a really great night, unfortunately I am not yet able to come along, this past few months have been rather hard and has affected me more than I thought it could, so am gradually getting myself as fit as I can and hopefully will be able to get back to a bit of normality soon.

I must admit music does help, and Alistair Griffin has been doing his lockdown tour of the country so can watch that on face book …although many people shun FB …it has been a godsend to many of us fans, to be able to listen to the music while chatting to friends has helped all  of us.

I do hope this being a hermit will soon pass and I will be back amongst people again. Thank you to all who have been cheering me up.

I had a couple of Face Book Memories pop up from 6 years ago, so enjoy them.

I do hope Neil will pass the news on so can keep up the blog…(Hint Neil)

This came up on FB memories from 6 years ago… If everyone does not go mad and mix too much when things are supposed to be back to normal!!! we will be able to enjoy many more times of Live Music…fingers crossed.

No idea how many managed to get the the gig on Wednesday let me know. Suddenly all but Neil have deserted me!

The Locks Inn

Thanks to Neil who has been great and managed to write a piece for the blog about last evening…

So pleased it seems to have gone well, just hope those seats had dried out from Monday when Duncan and I popped down in the pouring rain!!!

Neil always saves the day for me will pop on his write up…Sorry I cannot get it any bigger. Also sorry cannot type it out at the moment as got bitten or stung on Tuesday and a very sore arm, I was assured it should get better in a week but then supposed to see a Dr which in this area is a hard job nowadays, so taking it easy and staying out of the garden for a while!!!

He said Tony you may have some you took on your camera but expect they will go on Sole Bay Face Book.

But these look great to me, and what a lovely evening it turned out to be the sun started to shine during the afternoon, so pleased.

2nd August at Ditchingham sounding good. stay safe everyone and thanks again Neil. x

Morning Jazzers…

Morning one and all… I hope everyone is keeping safe and in good health …not sure I trust that all things will be "back to normal" on the 19th, especially after the crowds that have been mixing… just a bit sad that after keeping safe for over a year and everyone having to miss funerals, see people in care homes or get married with all friends attending …suddenly the crowds that have been mixing as on radio and tv for sport seem to have not realised they could have spread covid far and wide and we may be in another crisis again, but maybe I am just scared. I will certainly remain one of those wearing masks in shops and crowds.

Well after that rant…As I have not heard any different I take it this Wednesday at The Locks Inn …the Jazz will be taking place. If I hear anything will add on at a later date, so keep looking in…

Face Book has dug up a memory from 5 years on my timeline, so will pop that on.

Alistair Griffin has started his tour …this year to celebrate all the NHS workers, he has started in Scotland and it was so good to see two gigs in peoples gardens yesterday, we are a lucky bunch to be able to chat to friends on his site while listening to great music.

I have not heard how Roy is, but seems our Robin is still in hospital as do hear from him.

Stay safe one and all…we will get better weather at some time? The gardens are suffering but the bees and butterflies seem to be thriving which is a good thing.

So as have not heard much from Jazz folk of late I will sign off with the photo.

Just watched Alistair and Dave tonight on their tour playing to those who have been busy in the NHS. This is in Scotland.

Remember as the Wednesday jazz gig will be outside, keep warm clothing handy.

Morning Jazzers…

Good Morning  Jazzers…Another week towards end of lockdown and live music again!

I hope everyone is keeping safe and well…I cannot believe where this year has gone and July already, and still wearing winter clothes!!!!

Not much to write about this week as a bit fed up …lots of aches as most people of my age have!! lots of bills to pay this last month, which are all sorted (thanks to not buying any new clothes for over a year ha ha) …then yesterday on way to pick up new specs… car went wrong and my favourite garage has closed, however the good friend who owned it has found someone to sort my little KA out … more money but would be lost without it…

A friend rang yesterday to say our dear Roy Symonds is in hospital at the moment, so we hope he can recover soon bless him.

Oh dear forgot to put that Our Marathon man Robin has been in hospital as well, but he is improving take care Robin take it a bit easier!!!!

A photo from FB memories  6 years ago… and one of my poppy with a bee!  5 years ago… to cheer us all up. stay safe everyone keep in touch…

Bless Neil he has found me some lovely photos with a nice message…

The rainbow suggests we will come through this xx
