SOLE BAY JAZZ…11th October

Well Alan has found another good line up for us at the Pavilion, Ditchingham this week…

On front line we have…

Tim Densham…clarinet/saxophone…

        A welcome return of Bill Skinner…saxophone…

Tony Parsons…trombone/vocals…

Backing them…  Barbara Greene… banjo…

           Tony Jullings…string bass…

Alan has said Craig for the drums,

but I believe it may be Neil Kane back with us this week 

we shall see…

Also as I always say… you never know who may pop along 

to sing…

Come along and enjoy live music and meet up with a great crowd of people…

We are so lucky to have the quality of these musicians on our doorstep…

"HOT" Cool Blue!

Cool Blue had a good line up at the Butchers Arms on Sunday and they performed so well to a very happy  audience… The photos are not good but will post a couple, I sat rather far back in a nice cosy place that I could not move out of very well, oh dear that sounds like a poor excuse…

Tried another mirror one! rubbish but I tried…

The sound was very good and some great vocals from Simon and Barry L.

Also you all know how I love the guitar and Mick plays a real mean one , very good Mick loved it…

But loved it all Lin is a wiz on her Sax… Simon and her always look like they enjoy singing together … and this week with Barry B on his Sax they blended so well…

Tony as always so great on his string bass…Craig on the drums with an ear bashing solo which everyone had been asking for…

Barry you get better and better with each hearing great playing and vocals…

Mike F joined in the last few numbers on his clarinet as well.

Lovely to meet up with good friends so thank you Cool Blue it was great…

COOL BLUE SUNDAY

This Sunday 7th October at the Butchers Arms Public House the great Cool Blue will be performing live music once again…

This week they have a really big line up, including Mike… Simon… Barry L …

Barry B…Lin…Craig… Tony… 
and more maybe so hope you can get along to support them.

They start playing at 1.30 pm but get there nice and early for a good seat!

Southwold day out!

Today was very different from my usual shopping on a Friday morning, after a great night of Jazz  Tim thought a good walk was in order…

I have had a great day …interesting so hope some of the photos give a hint of a very nice walk…

Who several jazz folk will know…

What a lovely long walk from the common to the pier and back into town, great company, a wonderful yummy lunch and a walk by the harbour, ending up at the museum and it was open so a good look round there, then back along the harbour…

Thanks Tim for a great day out really loved it, so glad you had the idea, good to think of me…hope you enjoyed it as much as me, and also thank you for our lovely lunch and all the information about Southwold I did not know.

Sole Bay Jazz… with a Zing!

Well what a great night of jazz at the Pavilion Ditchingham…

With only two on the front line but what a two! Tim and Ron a rather musical duo with backings from Alan…Craig…Tony… and helped along by the vocals of Simon…


A great solo by Ron, wow can that man make a tune…a bit of a drum solo from Craig, and Tony, we are so very lucky to have such talent so closet to home.

A really good crowd as well to support them, and Heidi another good job looking after us all. Glad you still like us Jon!

Footwarmers on Sunday…

Barry joined the band this Sunday…

Sunday  lunchtime at Beccles Conservative Club the Footwarmers played jazz for a nice crowd.
Maybe to start with the music did not quiet gel, as a different line up again but as everyone was having such a good laugh about it all… and it is live music so we expect a few little errors.

So thanks everyone for a fun Sunday lunchtime…
 I seem to have missed the leader of the band Mike of the photos so apologies Mike will catch you next time…
