Flower!!!!!

A gift of an Amaryllis from a friend at Christmas  a couple of 5 inch high stems and leaves… now it is over 20inches high with these beauties on top!!!!!

Garden…

Just had to try and take a few photos of my flowers as the wind and frost has had a go at a lot of flowers this year however, some to cheer us up… Plus my beautiful flowers from Phil and Dawn at the weekend.

I was cleaning out my little green net area this morning and thought how good my friends are to me as the Hibiscus is several years old that Jazz Janet gave me also the Hebe from this year, and the little roses growing well thanks Sandy and Neil…

Oh yes and this dear boy was sleeping as usual, mmm apart from early mornings! when he likes to let me know he is hungry, but like me he is getting on a bit!

Birthday flowers

Just had to redo my gorgeous flowers I have received over the past week, thank you family and friends…

Garden this morning in the sunshine…

Nice bit of sunshine and the flowers are coming into bloom, but so are the bugs!!!! Also the weeds so better get out there and get started.

Spring!

I decided that even though my wrists and back were hurting like mad, could not resist the sunshine this morning to do a bit of gardening, only did a little but loving that the flowers are enjoying the sun as well…and some bees about…pain killers now ha ha serves me right…

Day Trip…

Yesterday the two Jan's and me went off on one of our little days out…

Jan  1 drove and off we went to Reedham Ferry, what a day we thought to go out, raining but muggy, ah well…it has been many years since I have been to the Ferry but JJ said it was good and it was a real treat including the radio suddenly saying Ferry Ahead as we approached which made us all jump.

Nice Ferry man and Jan made a good job of getting us on the deck, a short journey across which of course saves mile round the roads. There were cars following so we could not stop but on the way a lovely old pump house… should have taken photo but I am sure we will go again…Lots of the old houses were being refreshed and no doubt will be summer second homes however they are being done really nicely …great villages no wonder London folk want to come to our sweet countryside.

The views on the way were so good as being flat could see for miles. the sun came through in the end and the rain stopped… we were heading for Moulton Nurseries, and well worth the trip, I am sure the 2 J's were fed up with me going 'wow' as I have never seen such a display of well tended flowers and plants, and I wanted them all for my garden! They also have the most enchanting display of gifts oh dear you could spend a lot of money there, but just to look was really nice and wonder how someone finds all these lovely things.

A clever lady has a hat shop in the centre and what talent everything was so gorgeous, so spent a nice time wandering round going wow again!!

We then went into the restaurant which was nice and clean and home cooked food, lovely lunch and a huge hot cup of coffee, then back to the flowers, we of course did spend a little!!!!!!

Thanks ladies I had a really great day out, good one JJ for thinking of that one, and there is more to come on here as we went on to the river so watch this space…

Sunflower

This morning a little bee was having fun on my sunflower.

I do try so hard to encourage the bees in my little garden, but yesterday I killed one because it was crawling in my trouser leg whilst dead heading the flowers…left me with a very sore leg, bit sad but I feel the pain on my leg and for the poor bee…

Just thought I would post these photos of my front garden  trees they are so pretty each year… Spring looks like it has arrived although the early morning frosts do take their toll!

Then there is my dear Oscar who now he is 11 sleeps a lot! until I go to sleep that is then he decides he wants to play!

One of my neighbours and I got a nice surprise from another neighbours family… with the arrival of these gorgeous flowers, just for being nice neighbours! Glad your feeling better Ron!

Valentine…

No idea who? or why, but at my age it was a nice thought!

Spring?

The Camelia's are coming out and I have snowdrops …crocus…violets…primroses etc, so even though it is pouring with rain Spring is coming…

The photo is the second blooming of a present from a dear friend in Wembley who I am hoping is not near the floods…

Garden again…

I have been decorating and gardening! and doing some sorting out, so thought I would take some photos to cheer me up!

IRIS…

It is such a lousy weather day again today, but David took this Iris in my garden on Sunday when the sun was shining, so thought it would cheer the blog up!
