A rather nice evening of live music at The Sports Pavilion Ditchingham with the Sole Bay Jazz Band… a pleasant time with five talented musicians, nice lot of different music and they all looked like they enjoyed themselves, as we who were there did.
Sadly only a few turned out to watch the live music, but of course football may have kept some away… BUT you know if you do not support groups of all types of music they will fade away, so hopefully next week a few more live music fans will attend.
Good raffle as always thanks Clover and Christine… and the boys for the ticket folding.
Emily is getting used to us now and nice and cheerful as well. Thanks for your help..
Photos not great again however Fudge has a good one on FB.

Sole Bay Jazz Band evening…
Last evening the Sole Bay Jazz Band once again played for us a rather good night of Jazz, and Barry gave us some smooth vocals…I had a bad head so maybe did not appreciate as much as I usually do, and we had some loud talkers who rather spoilt it but of course it is a club so must expect that. But as always some great playing from all…
Not so many folk there, but then it was a lovely evening of sunshine so maybe it stopped a few from coming along, also illness and holidays, hope things pick up for the band as we are so lucky to have such talented musicians to play live for us every week, and they do appreciate that your raffle money helps too.
Not sure if should say this but as I have been (I hope) promoting the band for many years and I am sure Alan would not mind…If there are any young musicians out there who look in here, or on the Face Book Sole Bay Band post that Fudge does… maybe come along and see what goes on, after all it might be good to have a few younger players to learn and have a little play with these great musicians.
Thanks to Clover and Christine for the raffle another really nice one.
Lovely Emily getting used to us all now …nice smile and thanks for your help Emily. Jon seems nice and happy he does not have to step in!!
Thanks Don and Jan who helped with the ticket folding, and Mavis and Peter for the yummy fruit…
A few photos…… Nice Canary Yellow shirt Derek ……Fudge got some great shots on her FB page.

Sole Bay Jazz Band…
Well that was a great evening of live music with The Sole Bay Jazz Band and friends… the Sports Pavilion was rocking.
Although not a lot there, however I hope it is not all because of illness/holidays/ or just cannot bothered! as we are so lucky to have live music each week with some great musicians so come a long and support it… the old adage 'if you do not use it you will lose it' I know a lot of folk do look in on my blog to see who is playing each week even though we do not seem to have comments nowadays or perhaps best we do not!!!So do not just look come along and enjoy the music.
Thank you for all those who came along and as always digging deep for the raffle, Thanks to Clover and Christine for the raffle… also the boys for folding the tickets …and lucky me I won a prize!!!! well the prize really was the band…
Great music hardly any stops to find the right piece to play and the right key that everyone knew… really jolly feeling within the band, good to see Ron West always a lovely smile whilst drumming away, Trummy as always so many notes he gets out of the Trombone and the Euphonium, Ray his fingers were certainly getting going on those keys…Alan looking sad on some of the photos but playing well (love to Gina hope she soon feels better, they always say take more water with it but it is always easy to laugh off a fall and blame something else our gardens are always a tripping waiting to happen) Tony J that Bass looked very heavy last night but played with such skill…and of course Mr Densham phew you looked hot ha ha in the nicest possible way it was very muggy and lots of hay fever about, but you played us a storm Tim, really good night and some super music… Always think of Simon D when Miss Jones is played…

Some great playing as always from all the band and some lovely singing from Barry…We are so lucky to get such good players and a different line up each week, would be good for some younger folk to come along and give playing with these fine musicians a go…
Smiles from Emily behind the bar, getting used to us now…and thanks to Christine for the very good raffle the boys for folding the tickets, and all those who dug deep to help the band to keep coming each week it is appreciated, also the prizes are really good.
