Another good night at The Sports Pavilion Ditchingham with the Sole Bay Jazz Band…
A bit better crowd than last week, but suppose many are unwell and on holiday as well.
But the music was very good some different takes on some tunes and they looked like they had fun, Bill plays a really great trombone… Tim as always such a great player, Ray on the piano, not too sure about my ears drums at the change in the piano at the end!!! but some great playing, our wonderful back line of Tony/Alan/Craig we are so lucky with them all.
Good raffle thanks to Clover and Christine and the 'boys' are back to fold the tickets…Thanks to you all for digging deep again to give the band help to come along each week for us.…
Hope your tooth ache soon gets better Don.
Happy Birthday to Sheila Denny …still miss you at jazz, and thrilled Simon was able to sing again with JW band what a great recovery and looking forward to the day he comes back to sing with the Sole Bay.
Heidi with your help… and your smile…(the children will have a great easter egg hunt)
Hope all those who are unwell soon recover…
Happy Easter to one and all…
A few photos… where the one of Tony went I do not know… see FB for Fudges photos.

Saturday Night Musical…
Once again I was spoilt by my Sister in law Janet and Niece Elizabeth with a night out on Saturday to see "A Musical World" so I thank them and everyone who made it possible.
The Chorus of St Cecilia are a fantastic choir and actors and I have been privileged to have been invited again… This time we had the hit songs from most 'Popular and Sensational Musicals of Broadway, and once again Matthew Hardy directed a fabulous evening to a packed house at the Pavilion Theatre Gorleston.
An extra thrill was that James, Elizabeths husband, was singing, Elizabeth used to sing in the choir, their Son was with us, his face was a picture when he saw his daddy and he knew most of the words…at the age of 7 …I must say he was so good to sit through the show, and I was so happy to be with him as have not seen him for a while, also have had a really bad back and did not think I would be able to make it to go, but oh my how happy I was to be there, and of course the music took my mind off the aches and pains!!!!
The young choir are as always a joy to watch and they are future stars, some then go on to join the main choir and it is wonderful to see them grow, what voices they have and stage presence.
The main choir have the most magical voices it sends shivers down ones neck to hear some of the songs they sing.
The Piano Bass and Percussion were played so well again.
Some songs from Gypsy/Mary Poppins/Showboat/Les Miserables/My Fair Lady /Oliver/Oklahoma/ Grease /among many of the shows that the songs came from… some very magical singing from all …but Rhianne sang 'On my Own' with such soul, then Sam and Craig with 'Copa Cobana' so full of fun, the quartet singing 'Bring him Home' which always brings tears, it was so touching, and of course Sam and Max doing 'Anything you can do' from Annie Get Your Gun was just amazing, young Max also sings with the young choir so good to see how he has grown.
Thanks for a great evening what a terrific show from lovely people who spend hours training to put on these shows. This year the Charity they have chosen is The Barbara Bus Fund a charity who aims to provide the means of transport for people who need wheelchair access and cannot use public transport.
Nice to see such a great crowd who appreciated the wonderful show. also nice to see some from our jazz nights as well.
Well done as always a joy …

A smaller audience last evening at The Sports Pavilion Ditchingham to support the Sole Bay Jazz Band, but those who were there enjoyed the band, lots of different music as Derek brought his 'big book' music bit loud for me last night but have good hearing!!
Clover and Christine for doing the raffle and Jan for helping me fold the tickets, think the 'boys' should be back next week to take over again.
Thanks for those who do dig deep to help with the Band playing every Thursday.
Thanks Heidi for that smile and your help to me.
Nice to see and hear a couple of songs from Chris Capocci been a long time always a joy when he gets with the band.
A few photos…Too far apart to get a group one but Fudge managed on her posh phone for FB.

Sole Bay Jazz and Friends…
Each week as I sit to write a little report about the band, I wished I had been more diligent in learning the correct way of English writing, but as you all know I enthuse about everything in my own way and put capitals/apostrophes/ellipsis all in strange places, but you are good to look in and hope you appreciate that it helps those people who cannot get to the gigs. Well I like to think so anyway.
So Tony P (great to see you again) you are right here goes all the adjectives… What a great night of live music at The Sports Pavilion with The Sole Bay Jazz Band and guests.
Entertaining…wonderful…terrific talent…happy…fun… and much more, in fact I think it was one of the best nights out of the many that we have had…
To top it our Stella had her 90th birthday celebrated, so good to see her enjoying herself.

Sole Bay Jazz Band and guests…
Nice to be back to The Sole Bay Jazz Band playing after the snowy weather last week when it had to be cancelled…

Thanks to Clover and Christine for the raffle… as always thanks to you all for digging deep which helps keep the band playing each week, and of course to the 'boys' for the ticket folding.
Heidi, even though it was so cold there this week, we all kept her coats on…She still had her smile for us…
*******************************************************************************
Next week we have another surprise Pete Rudeforth will be joining the line up to play Trumpet for us, and maybe Ray will be playing not only the piano but that Trumpet may be brought along…Along with our merry band plus Pete Gregory will be back for us…
So I know a lot of folk who we have not seen for a while will be coming along for this special… also it is our Stella's birthday a big one, so hopefully she will be there.
So if you want a very special outing come along and join in the fun…
