With the Sole Bay Jazz Band and friends…
Some great playing and even a play of Easter Parade! Ron a great solo, some different tunes, thanks Don (Great to see you and Keith able to come again) for remembering some of those, it all added to the night, as they play every week sometimes hard to find something a bit different, but they always manage it.
The back line as usual giving it their all… even frightening Tim with all that yummy drumming Craig! Tony that string bass comes alive, even if you do not look up for the photos!! Alan with guitar and banjo, (thanks for getting that line up Alan) Our Ray who can get so many notes from that piano, as he did the trumpet when he played, as does Trummy on the trombone, notes galore, Ron as always when he comes brings his touch of class from all those years playing all over the world and loves to come and play for us, Tim who plays so well for us every week and has such a mine of information about whatever the tune is and where is originated. To add to the mix, Simon came along and gave us all so many memories with his choice of songs thanks Simon great, especially as there is a lot of worry in the family ( so good to see Sheila and Kim) we send our love and hugs to try and help at this time.
So a very good evening to start getting ready for Easter Holiday, once again thanks to my raffle ticket folders, Heidi who works so well behind that bar, with always a smile, thank to Jon for allowing us each week to invade the Pavilion, to all you lovely people who come along every week to enjoy live music, you make the night …may it long continue. Jan for driving and for getting us home safe even with the diversions it was fun if not a little frightening in those country lanes!! Should we have taken into account the Road Closed signs ha ha…
A few photos to give those who could not attend…But who look in…
