On Sunday The Footwarmers played at The Conservative Club Beccles…
As always a very fun lunch time so thanks to everyone, so nice to meet up with some of the Sole Bay followers coming along. Thanks June for ferrying me…
Hope Mark enjoys being the new Steward at the Club…nice to meet him.
The band played well and everyone sounded good, nice to see Barbara with her banjo, Dave on the drums, (he will be playing with the Sole Bay on Thursday night at Ditchingham)
Bill on bass,/vocal, Barry piano/vocals, Mike on clarinet, Ian saxophone/gravel vocals, loved it Ian such fun and the dance moves!!Roy saxophone and some really great vocals…
Once again it was hard to concentrate with all the talking in the background, but we were lucky to be at the front so could still hear the band!
Just a few photos, did not catch Barbara on film…

4 Heads!!
Last evening at The Marsham Arms I was able to hear my Son David play live with The 4 Heads Band.
Have not heard him play for a long time, as he has been unable to, so was very pleased indeed when Craig my friend (who is the great drummer from the Sole Bay Jazz Band)…said he would love to hear him play and would take me, so a huge thank you Craig a lovely evening and great food…
I was hoping to go to see Alistair Griffin live as he was in Norwich, so had to make a choice and the 4 Heads won! Sorry Alistair…
A great evening a long time since I had been there, and it had been refurbished, what a place, great food and such pleasant staff as well. Well worth a visit for a meal that is for sure. Even if a long way to get there.
The band and singers were a lot louder than the Jazz! but they were really fun, great voices as well, so thanks to you all…and lots of dancing going on, did some videos for my own enjoyment…and took a few photos…Some not so good as hard to get around the dancers… and of course no one smiles when they are playing when I am taking pictures, however the videos show them having fun, sorry not clear enough to put on here.
My other Son and Daughter in law plus David's neighbours and some friends, were there so we were made very welcome. Dawn you are going to love the video when you were really letting loose! gorgeous.
So all in all a very good choice, lovely friends and some really great fun. looking forward to the next one! Thanks again to one and all…
Happy me tonight …on Face Book Alistair singing live from The Forge in London, what a great performance, thanks Alistair made up for missing you in Norwich last night.

Sole Bay Happy Music…
Another great evening at the Sports Pavilion Ditchingham,.
Good line up of talent, and a very happy and appreciative audience… Thanks as always for digging deep for the raffle, and for those who do contribute to the prizes as well… all helps to keep these fine musicians coming along every Thursday night. Plus it brings a bit of fun to the evening ha ha well to some people. Sorry Tim…
Simon Denny gave us some extra vocals this week, and they were great, he looked the part, very smart young man, how well it all sounded. Actually on the subject, June you were right I should mention Tim was wearing his Lifeboat sweatshirt… a plug for our great local Lifeboat Shop in Lowestoft!!! A wonderful charity…
My photos were not the best, must remember when focusing not keep moving to the music…did manage to get Tony with his head up though…Thanks Fudge for pointing out the best view, last evening where we sat could mostly see the post in the middle but loved the music.
Lovely crowd of regular fans, some good friends among them, and a few extra, always good to see the support for the line ups each week, Alan does do well in that direction, not easy each week thanks Alan.
Heidi as always that smile is always so nice to see. Thanks for taking the change, glad it helped…
I do hope those who were missing again last evening because of ill health, if you do read this please get in touch as everyone keeps asking me how you all are…
Great to see Sheila and Stella again in the front band seats…
At the last piece of music we had Craig doing what he does so well… a great drum solo…
Thanks Sole Bay everyone played their best, a great solo from Ron, 'memories' always a pleasure to hear him play that. Ray was magic on the piano last night, our main crew of Tim…Alan…Tony…and Craig great as always.
Oh yes and thank you Neil for finding my keys, phew would have been in trouble without them…

Courting Peregrines…
As always at this time of year, getting into watching those fine birds that nest on the box, situated on Norwich Cathedral, thanks to the Hawk and Owl Trust…
They have been mating, and thanks to Chris for some great shots of that although perhaps we should not watch! …
This morning they are deciding which side they will use this year, really funny as the male says other corner to female…and I mean say, lots of noise up there today.

Sole Bay Jazz Band…
This week at the Sports Pavilion Ditchingham, Alan got together another great line up to entertain a really good crowd of fans.
It was a pre Valentine night and I do hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did…
Thanks Simon for heading the evening and for making such a good job of the raffle…also the very amusing 'cracker' jokes. I know you do not believe me, but I did not realise what the dice showed! but in the end thanks to a couple of young ladies who read the label on them it turned out to be the best £3 I have spent on the raffle prizes! I hope the couple who I know is going to receive them will have fun!!! Now what can I buy for next week?
Thanks as always to my 'folders' great job as always…hope the nibbles helped!
So good to see as many turn out on such a cold evening, but hope the really good playing and vocals made it worth while. Still sad that so many regulars are sick and cannot come along to the Thursday evenings, but we wish them all a speedy recovery.
Apart from some very loud talking, that cleared a part of the room! it was great to see such lovely people enjoying themselves, we do have such wonderful fans that come along week after week to support the band, a great night out among friends thank you all, and for one who always brings me something extra to put in the raffle, and all those who bring things …much appreciated.
Heidi as always that smile while managing to serve so many drinkers, I know what it is like to have a band playing while trying to hear what the customers need so well done …
A few photos for those who look in, thanks to all the musicians great fun night.

Sole Bay Jazz Band
This Thursday the 4th February at the Sports Pavilion Ditchingham, we had a different sort of sound!
More a fun night with some great solos being played, Allan Bradley came along to head the band and proved his usual self, ensuring that all the players got a good shot at talented solos. He also sang us a few songs.
A good night if slightly whacky! I did not want to waste the 'odds' of raffle tickets, so another piece of fun, where everyone could choose what colours they wanted, I was a bit worried it would not work but luckily it did, so thank you one and all for digging deep, and for joining in …
A very small crowd to what we have been used to, so here's hoping that it was not all because of illness, hope to see a nice crowd returning next week to enjoy talented live music.
As I mentioned there seems to be a lot of illness about, so to everyone who is suffering sending our best from us all, and hope you will return soon.
Thanks for entertaining us Sole Bay looking forward to next week already.
Thanks Heidi as usual working well and lots of smiles! Also thanks to the lovely friends who fold the tickets each week much appreciated.
