It is with a sad heart that I have been allowed to put on here to inform you all…
a brave Keith Denny passed on yesterday after a long illness, so bravely fought.
I know a lot of you will miss him, a real jazz man as well as a family man. He did not miss many Thursday nights and without him the raffle would not have been born … as he thought it a way to keep the Band going which it does.
Sheila and family will be with us tonight as it is what Keith would have wanted, brave folk who will bear their loss with dignity, and I know we will share their sadness, but he will be there in spirit loving the music and singing as always.
Rest in Peace and without pain Keith…

Sorry news indeed. Most of the Sole Bay followers will have known him throughout their different venues, also varied other jazz/music events. It seems like only a short time from when he used to be (almost every week) an instantly recognisable 'icon' at the end of the bar in the Tally Ho!, through to current times at Ditchingham in a more sedate stance. We all knew him and will remember him.
Condolences from myself and Sandy, also some I know who do not have access to the internet.
Neil & Sandy
Think a lot will remember him with great affection, he was good to me and I do feel for Sheila, think they are brave to come tonight, but it is what Keith would have wanted xxx
A very sad day indeed Keith & his family have become good friends through our jazz nights he will be missed by so many
Rest in peace dear Keith
