Another different evening of live music at the Sports Pavilion Ditchingham…
Such talent, and a good line up, nice crowd although not as many this week…
Simon gave us some great songs did not get a photo of him, but he has sent me some from his phone of the band which I will put on here with a few of mine. Light not good for my little camera…
Ron and Tim on the front line giving us some great duets on Clarinet, and Saxophone, they play so well together… backing them well our usual three …some great music from them…We also had a harmonica a nice piece of music thank you. Not always all jazz but nice to have a change…
Thanks to Heidi as always smiling…lovely to meet up with good friends, thanks Jan for driving us, and thanks to Keith for sorting the raffle, and for all you folk who give as much as you can each week so Alan get bring a different line up each week for us to enjoy…
Hope all who are not well get better soon…

Jazz at the Sports Centre…
Every week I think the line ups that we have at the Sport Pavilion Ditchingham on a Thursday night, cannot get much better, they always surprise me, and this week was no exception… thanks Alan you did another good job.
This week was different not only with the line up, but with a good menu of music and singing we have not heard for a while…Some great playing as always from our back line, and Ray, back even though not fit, but his playing on that piano was brilliant…
Guests Pete, Geoff, and Bill, played us up a storm great playing from all…
Simon came along and gave us some really great vocals… and Geoff did a song as well…
Some wonderful solo playing, maybe that was a really good thing as everyone had such a load of fun in the band, which in turn made us all feel good.
Nice to see Heidi back smiling her way through the night and coping well with another big crowd.
Sad that someone had one of those e cigarettes going again at the bar, which brings my allergy on, so a bit wheezy today, however, people say nothing is bad about them so suppose will either have to put up with asthma or not go to the jazz unless they are banned! Not sure of the law, but we have such a great crowd of people there every week, so must not let one spoil it…and it does not seem to bother anyone else…
Thanks to Keith who is not in good health but still sorting the books and the raffle, and as always thanks to you all who dig deep each week to enable Alan to get such good line ups for our pleasure of listening to Live Jazz Music…

Thursday night Jazz…
Another great night of live music at the Sports Pavilion Ditchingham…Thanks Band…
Line up was Allan Bradley…Derek Cubitt…Tony Parsons…Alan Cugnoni…Tony Jullings…
Craig Hipperson… Lots of different music, Allan B certainly seems to bring out the best in the band, everyone has a chance of a solo, and they were great fun as well…
We had Allan B and Tony P singing, and of course great to have Simon Denny back again what a star, such passion with his singing. Keep him well Kim!
A good crowd, many new faces and not so many regulars due to illness etc, so hope they all soon improve and be back with us. Nice to have our lads back from their holiday to help fold the tickets.
Thanks Keith for all your hard work with the books and raffle, I do try to get as much for the band as I can, as long as they do not mind me being cheeky, always a joy to help and thanks to everyone who digs deep… after all I managed an extra £ out of one and he won the whiskey … so a good night when people can watch Live music with no entrance fee…just have to get those £'s out for the raffle…
Thanks to our lovely barmaid, you did well…nice smile…(Jon's Daughter) who stood in for Heidi who tonight will be on the Moonwalk in London with some friends, good luck young lady.
Lovely to be amongst so many friends, I am lucky…Thanks Jan for taking us last night, we must start taking a cushion!
Great fun as I have said with the band, Allan B always cheeky but last night the three 'Boys' got caught in the act of reading the notes on Alan C's computer while Tony P was playing his solo…because they had to play…

Jazz with Fun…
The evening at the Sports Pavilion Ditchingham, saw another good crowd attending to hear the jazz, and several newcomers, some of the regulars could hardly find a seat…I Suppose we ought to try and get people to bring there own. Some of them do already I noted.
Great that people are turning up for Live Music and they certainly got it last night, Allan who was heading the band kept the party going, and each member of the band did some great solo music, really wonderful playing some I had not heard for ages. so thanks band you did great. Craig Tony Alan beating out at the back with Trummy the man with so many notes that come from the trombone and the arsonium as Tim calls it, Derek as always giving his all, great round of appreciation for you well deserved. Thanks Allan B well done.
Thanks to everyone who came to me for raffle tickets, (thanks for Jazz Janet who helped with some, and Jan and Don who helped with the folding…) hope the old back improves so I can come to you again in future, still Allan had a real laugh about me, all in fun! well at least I hope it was…Thanks as always to Keith and Sheila it takes a lot of arranging these raffles.
So good that Simon was able to come and sing for us again, thanks Simon always a pleasure … Allan did not do so bad either with his songs… although he did put our Alan through the mill, with some remarks but all taken very well, not sure about some of the jokes but no one took offence! Least of all Alan with his computer full of different keys to play the music from.
Not so much talking this week so everyone able to listen which is good.
Nice to see Jean back even with her broken wrist hope it gets better real soon Jean. Hope the music cheered you up.
Hope to see you all next week, another line up Alan will be finding for us.
Good luck to our Heidi who is doing her Moonwalk for Cancer next week we all wish you well my dear, and look forward to hearing all about it.
Fudge may have some photos as I did not get my camera out, if she manages to send them I will add them otherwise you will not see our merry band if you were not there!
Oh yes and thanks Neil for thinking I looked demure and small in my old school photo, I was very quiet and shy once, now then no comment! that is a great site The Views of old Beccles, especially as I now seem to be one ha ha…
Fudge sent me some of her photos…Not bad at all Fudge thanks so much… just picked a few…
