Last night a crowd of us fans descended on the Pavilion at Southwold for an evening of entertainment, and we certainly got that…Thanks Jan for driving us all…
Dixie Mix are all talented musicians in their own right, but put them together, and you get a fast and furious and some gentle moments, that make the band what they are, so Thanks Boys you did it again…
Wow is all I can say for Pete's Clarinet rendition of Acker Bilk's Stranger on the Shore, tingles up my back, and the applause was loud… Pete is the butt of many 'Old' jokes but of course his playing is so good he can enjoy them! Tony on the Drums, what a player, and singing as well, love it when Simon and him do a duet…Kevin on the Guitar mmm love guitar… and of course the banjo, great playing… Chris that Trombone speaks volumes not too sure about the 'Ad' ha ha hope it was just a rubber joke. John as usual putting his all into that Bass playing… and Simon a star… you always can make some banter and still loving the 'famous bit' well done to you all…
Great night, good company and a nice lot of cuddles…Good when one gets older to have hugs and they are good at hugs as well as music…
Lovely to meet up with some old friends as well …and a nice lot of the fans from Sole Bay Thursday evenings went along…
The photos are not great, but my little camera is not good with poor lighting, and of course the place was packed, so could not get near to the band without disturbing people, but thanks guys for posing for a few!
The committee do a great job down there and give a lot to Charity so well done to them let us hope they can get a few more bands down over the winter for us all to hear, a hard job to organise these things, but so good to see it supported so well, the food was good as well, well done to the kitchen staff…and the bar staff… mostly soft drinks as drink driving not a good idea…
