Another great night, with a variety of tunes, some sing along jazz… and vocals by Roy and Chris……
A really good crowd of fans again, and it is so good for the band to know that Thursday night is worth their time as they can hear from the applause …
Some really great music from everyone as always and Bill, love that trombone playing, Ray of course always good to see him either on trumpet or piano…Tim, Tony and Alan, great playing nice to see some smiles as well…and of course young Craig on those drums, and thanks Craig a nice little giggle, new shoes that have slippery bottoms are certainly not a good idea, sorry could not resist the photo…You played great.
Roy as I have said sang a few songs, and provided a nice happy mood, and nice to see Chris have a sing song, even if he was about to go home!!
Thanks to Heidi doing her usual non flappable happy smiling face coping with the crowd.
And congratulations Jon on getting the money for the football pitch, glad you have thought of somewhere for the ducks!!!
Nice to have some comments on the blog from a few friends, as long as I know that this is getting through and I can showcase the great talent of the musicians, I am a happy old lady…

Foot Warmers plus!!
Sunday at the Beccles Conservative Club the Foot Warmers played up a storm…
The line up…Mike…Roy…Ian…Dave…Tony…Barbara…Bill… and later joined by Nick…
The Club was crowded, which is a good sign, and it sounded like everyone had a good time.
Our little crowd certainly did…
I could not get near to take a photo, but think everyone knows what the lads look like.
Roy gave us some songs, his usual flair giving everyone a lift…
So next gig there for jazz on the 22nd December…

Sole Bay Jazz …
Another great night of live music at the Sports Pavilion…Ditchingham…
Somewhat different this week we have posh stands with music on them! It did seem so strange to see Craig and Tony reading the music as they had to have their heads in a strange position! however Derek had done the scores and they stuck to them, very pleasant …I have a preference of them playing as they feel like, but that is just me, beautifully performed though, and with the 3 clarinets playing on the front row, suppose had to make sure they were all playing the same arrangement.
Loved that Craig got his solo in, those drums come alive with him…
Everyone is a very talented musician, and I really like what ever they choose to do.
Joining them for a few numbers, another very talented guitarist, oh and you all know how I love the guitar, and John thank you it was so lovely to hear you play, please can you come again, I loved that you were looking and listening to Alan and playing to his chords, as my Sons both played guitar, and how they loved and appreciated other musicians talent.
This week with Tim and Derek, Craig, Tony and Alan were the wonderful Ron Hockett and Ray Simmons both have such a great musical background, how lucky are we that all these musicians come to play for our pleasure, thank you all.
So we had a great crowd of well behaved people! sorry if I upset anyone last week saying about the noise, but it is my blog! and my opinion, but so nice to have an audience that appreciates the music. and what a crowd, I had a hard job getting round to everyone,, and thank you all for digging deep for the raffle, as it does so help the band to continue coming to entertain us all…
Roy came up and gave us some vocals as well, that gets the crowd going! whoops that sounds bad, not out the door I hasten to add!

DIXIEMIX… Southwold
Friday 15th November at the Pavilion Southwold DixieMix entertained…
Indeed they did, well done 'Boys' what a night you gave the crowded venue, well done to Keith and the organisers and all the people who made the night special…
As Keith said a really friendly feeling to the whole evening, and it was, well most of us knew each other so it was a family feel.
The band! well as always a fun time was had by them and everyone, as it always comes over when they have fun. So thank you all it was as always a pleasure to listen to you.
(hope the cd's went well they had some good plugs Simon!)…
I was not so lucky with some of the photos as was sitting too far back for the little camera, that is my excuse and I am sticking to it, so of course wandered around in the end to get the following photos, obviously they were playing so not as clear as could be, and they did not pose, well Kevin did as always when I get the camera out!!!
Thanks…Simon…Kevin…Chris…Tony…Pete…John…

Another good night at the Sports Pavilion Ditchingham last night…
Some of the regulars were not there, and some new folk came… some very noisy and need not have come along as they talked all night and ignored the band! but as someone said it is a public place, so sorry for all those who could not hear for the chatter let's hope they find something else to do next week… … that does sound nasty doesn't it, but my blog my opinion!!……
So a great night of jazz and singing, Roy gave us a few songs as well as Tony, and the mike decided to be good and did not fail this week!
Thanks to one and all…

'The Cottage'
Last night I was taken out to a gig (thanks again Tim) at The Cottage , a lovely Public house and Restaurant, that holds the Norfolk Jazz Club…I had never been there before, and it was very nice and a friendly feel to it,.They did some good meals as well by the looks of them.
We were treated to an evening of jazz with Ron Hockett…Ray Simmons…backed by the Simon Brown Trio…
'A varied and exciting programme' the flyer said, and it was certainly different, and very good, of course with such great musicians, I did not expect anything else.
Great playing by everyone, and so good to see so many great musicians in the crowd, must have felt good for the band to have such a musical audience to support them.
So nice to see so many of our Thursday night Jazz pals as well. Great to meet up with Jean and Vic as always.
Alan asked me to take a photo, so I did, not great and, I have cut Brian's head off …sorry…as did not like to get too near, and of course not my place like the Pavilion is, where I wander about taking the photos.
So thank you all had a great evening…

Great music… so well played and lots of fun, thank you all…
Roy gave us a few songs, cut short by the rather poorly microphone, but causing a lot of laughter…
A few jokes, not sure if they worked!!!and as I said such great playing…

Thanks for all the support of the raffle, sorry if I make you get your money out, but if we want to keep the great musicians coming along we have to try and support them…

Halloween… Sole Bay Jazz!
Once again a great night of live music from the talented Sole Bay and guests…
There was some serious talent on show again this week, and a really great crowd who sounded like they really enjoyed every minute of it…Thank you all on behalf of the band for your support…
The 'Coven' ladies as always came dressed up for the occasion and again looked the part, I did take some photos before all of them got there, afraid they do not look as good on photos as they did in the flesh so to speak!!!! Thanks to them, nearly all the tables had a candle and some great halloween sweets so thank you ladies you did a great job.
A lovely surprise as well to see our Heidi behind the bar, all back to normal and a lovely smile, cannot believe the baby is 6 months, you look great young lady, and good to have you back.
I have done a little video will have to see how it looks before I reduce it and put on here, but a few photos to be going on with…
Roy gave us some good vocals, while Ron -Tim- Trummy- on the front line were as always brilliant…
Tony- Craig-Alan-Ray provided a great back line… such good sounds…
