Sunday at the Club. Chris sitting in on the trombone, and you played great Chris! The bass player is over 80. They have such a laugh and lovely singing as well....thanks boys again for a great lunchtime.

What a good lot of humour and fun these muscians have..and the keyboard player as always such magical music... and always a smile.

Our bass player also manages this rather large tuba! good lungs for his age bless him.

Jazz at Flixton last night..

This is Phil our Landlord pulling a face. he does not really like jazz, but knows talent when he hears it, and I think he likes us mad jazz friends on a Thursday night.

This is him again with a mate, being silly for me..not sure about the T shirt slogan! Hate to think what he will say about these ....he is still learning the computer so he may not know how to find these!

Colin and Duncan, best mates who we always sit with, they make fun of me all the time, but I love them.

The batteries ran out on the camera, so did not get all my friends who sit in front of the log fire, but will be fully charged ready for next week girls.

Flixton Buck Sunday

Went for lunch at the Flixton Buck on Sunday, our haunt that holds the Sole Bay Jazz on a Thursday night..great food. Had high heels on so did not risk the walkway to the river! the floods we had have made a mess of the woods, but they will recover.

Pity you cannot hear the birds singing. we could!

This is the side of the dear old pub looks like a lick of paint needed, but what a great place.

Had to pop to the museum again of course.

The Meteor and another view of the pub...We are so lucky to be able to just wander around and not hear traffic, just the birds, and the air was good. we live in a great place here in our little part of Britain.

Jazz at Flixton

Another great night at Flixton Buck with the Sole Bay Jazz men! A good line up ..Tim,...the Prof,...lan and Neil as usual.... and guests Ray and Derek... also Simon came and sung some numbers...

Sorry the photo is not great my camera is not good in that light, whoops what do they say a bad workman always blames his tools!!!! Thanks Ivan for taking me.....

Great to see all the lovely friends there.. and dear Neville you have been ill but you have such a good time, and you are a great advocate for keeping going through all the bad times....

Spring 2010

Could not resist a few crocus... how they manage to come through all that bad weather and still bloom is amazing...

This little bed is under the bird station, and the birds like to peck the poor flowers...waiting for the tulips to appear here.....

They are so pretty, pity they last such a short time...still spring is on its way now.....

Cake and Jazz.....

A sponge I made last week for a friend, not able to get a smooth finish on a sponge everytime one presses down it pops up again, still as long as it tastes good!!

Went to the Sole Bay Jazz again last night, another great night and the music is fantastic, and such lovely friends, makes life worth while.... must take the camera next week have not put a photo of the band for ages.....

Spring Walk!

Went for a nice walk in the very bitter cold wind, but gorgeous sunshine yesterday. This tree is usually surrounded with grass!
and this is not the river but the park near it! ice still on the water and would be a cold damp picnic!

Lots of fishermen .. not a lot of fish being caught! but a lot of very cold men!

More ice...on the park...but the sun as I said was lovely.

Spring has sprung!

Not great photo's, but just popped out in the garden when the sun shone for a while....found some crocus...

And some snowdrops.....

Spring is really trying to arrive... even though it has just started to rain!
