A great evening of lively jazz from the Sole Bay Jazz Band and guests…

A nice crowd to enjoy the music as well…Thanks to Fudge for the photos great as always…and we all look forward to Tony's videos…

As usual I want to thank the friends that ferry me back and forth, it was great to be able to get back to being amongst these lovely people.

Sadly a lot of us are getting older but still enjoy the great music of these musicians, as the band has a great long history of live music.I know they enjoy entertaining us all, and long may they do so.

Want to give best wishes and hope that those who are unwell at the moment will soon be in better health, as you are missed.and we always remember those who are not well enough to play now,we always think of you when certain music is played.

I always like to think that many of the good people who are watching from above look down and know that they are missed.

Some weeks Mark and his very young daughter have entertained with the band, maybe not Sole Bay Jazz, but Cherry has touched a lot of hearts,they will be entertaining elsewhere this summer, so I am sure many of you would like to wish them good luck.

 Another great evening of Jazz from the Sole Bay Gentlemen and friends…

As always Fudge has done a good job of catching some of the moments so some good photos again from her. Tony was hard at work videoing for those who cannot get to jazz.

Thanks as always to the lovely folk who ferry me back and forth, and those who always make me welcome, it is very much appreciated, as have missed a lot of evenings when I  couldn't get going after the Covid years. Feeling more like the old days now. So good to catch up with some really good kind people. 

Must say Congratulations to June and Les, what a wonderful couple, they celebrated their 63rd  Wedding Anniversary yesterday.  Happy Birthday was played by the band for Tina.

I didn't think so many people there as usual, however a great night, thanks to Kerry for her bar work, could have done with her at our pub back in the day! Clover and Christine for their raffle duty of course, and Fudge has taken on the task of shaking the tickets up, great fun!

Craig was unable to play last evening… but Jason did a great job standing in on those drums…Tim , as always some wonderful playing… as did all the band …good to see Bill again with his gleaming trombone… Barry was superb with the piano and vocals, …Alan…I actually loved the banjo last night as I am  a guitar freak really…… some great Bass from young Mick…A couple of numbers from Mark on trumpet …and a little sing song from Cherry his very young daughter …

 Good morning Jazzers… Another good evening with The Sole Bay Jazz Gentlemen and friends, at Ditchingham.

Not so many came along last night, but we all had a great time listening to the music.

Barry did some great vocals…and a song  that was one of Sandy's favourite…

Thanks Rosemary for all the treats as well, glad you had a Happy Birthday, and it was also Tony's birthday, and one other who I didn't catch the name, so they all got Happy Birthday from the band.

Hope you got cool again… Kerry …hot work behind the bar it was very sultry weather, and today is cloudy feels like thunder storm coming, maybe that will ease the old hay fever for us all.

Jazz night

 Good morning Jazzers…

Well it was a very good evening with the Sole Bay Jazz gentlemen, as with just 5 plus a guest to play a few numbers. they played their hearts out, amazing …

Some great solos, such talent… each played so well, and actually some combos sounded different as Tim made the most of all the talent, so thank you all. 

Of course Fudge has provided us with some great photos as always… Tony will be providing some videos in a while I hope as well.

Thanks as also to my dear friends who get me back and forth to jazz, and Sandy hope you feel much better this morning, ( remembered when the last jab I had for Covid  next one due 15th so hope no reaction this time.) Neil look after her! so many missing nowadays from their special table, thanks for letting me be part of it. (I  am getting used to that cheeky chappie again…( Glad my pulse was good after what you said!)) Just also to say for those who are not well, take care, and hope you recover soon, you are missed.
