Jazz night…

A good night of jazz and blues with a nice crowd coming along to listen to the mix of Sole Bay/ Cool Blue /plus guests…

Thanks to all the band some very different music and good vocals… maybe not quite my sort of night as I find 7 in the line up a bit too much because the blend of sound does not come through as much…and the back line seems to disappear but as always that is just my opinion…but very well done to one and all… some nice happy sounds and some Barry again managed to play for the first time. 

Some cracking solos from Tony on Bass and Craig on Drums… our 3 dear 'young men' on the front line enjoyed themselves nice to see some fun between them…And a nice Happy Birthday played for Don …

Thank you all for digging deep again for the lovely raffle Thanks Clover you did a grand job…The 'boys' for all the ticket folding as well. Alan you were enjoying the microphone did not think the raffle would ever end ha ha… but glad you can hear now.

Nice that a gentleman came from the management to take photos of the band and crowd as they have put a lot of effort to bring the club into a better venue not only for the sports people but for social as well with new carpet, blinds and paint. I hope you all smiled!

Nice to see a few new faces including my lovely niece… thanks Emily …working her smile and hard work behind the bar…

We do have such a lovely crowd that come along to listen to the band and have a social evening, I still miss …as a lot of you do…the ones that listen from above, cannot believe it will be 4 years since Keith joined them, still miss him and hope he is pleased with the hard work he started with the raffle to keep the band able to come along and play each week.

Sole Bay Jazz night…

A very upbeat and fun evening at The Sports Pavilion Ditchingham with the Sole Bay Jazz Band and friends…

Some talented playing and so good to see the band really enjoying themselves, I love that,

well done to one and all, all fitted very well with lots of old and different music, and some audience participation and some dancing…

We also had a guest …Steve came along and joined in a couple of numbers with his Cornet, it is good to have guests now and then to join our great regular band members. Tim as always such great playing,  Clarinet/Saxophone, Trummy so many notes from both the Trombone and Euphonium  Alan on Guitar and Banjo good playing with Dr Jazz, Tony that Bass comes alive, and Craig well you know how we love you playing, Barry I feel must be congratulated again some very good playing and singing, lovely to see how you are fitting in and good to see some of the band giving some helpful advice. A lovely friendly evening.

Good to see a healthy crowd last evening including some new faces hope you enjoyed the evening… thanks everyone who dug deep for the raffle, thanks Christine and Clover  a very good raffle as always, thanks to Duncan and Colin folding those tickets…

Sole Bay Jazz Band …

The Sole Bay Jazz Band was playing at The Sports Pavilion Ditchingham last evening to a good crowd…Lovely to see it a bit fuller this week.

No thunder and lightening this week after last weeks evening!

A quieter night of music although a  few  nice up beat ones and some had not heard for a time…  well played to all the band…I like to see a lot of fun between the players, not as much this week, but Tim was on form with some tit bits! a few smiles and nice to see the trumpet for a couple of numbers at the end…

Thanks Christine and Clover another well done on the raffle, and as always a big thank you for those who dig deep each week to support the raffle which with Jon's help gets the band each week to play live music for us all. for which we are really happy about.

Nice to see Emily back again after her holiday well done Em for you had only just got home.
