With the Foot Warmers Band plus guests…

Some really good playing from those below …lots of guitar/ saxophones /clarinets /ewi /bass and drums…and some great vocals…plus we had Pete joining in on his guitar also young Henry who came to play saxophone… now he is someone to keep an eye on as he plays so well and with great feel for the music, he is also playing along with some of our great musicians on the 18th August at the Carlton Crown Pub Lowestoft.

Sole Bay Jazz Hot Night!

Well firstly I must thank the wonderful Sole Bay Jazz Band especially the guests who travelled in all that heat  and storms to play for us last evening at The Sports Pavilion Ditchingham… I do hope the journeys home were not too bad.

It was a stormy hot night…thunder… lightening …pouring rain… lights going out while the band kept playing just like the war years ha ha Clive yes I know you were too young to remember that thanks for reminding me!!!!!

Thank you so much to Geoff…Pete…Ray… and our great back liners Alan …Craig and Tony plus some great vocals from Barry ( sorry again for that damn mike) but you bravely carried on.

What a wonderful fun evening as always when Geoff and Pete play, it has been far too long since we have seen them, the whole band lit up and I mean lit up with that storm some great songs as well from Pete and Geoff, Geoff reminded me of some tunes that Barbara Green used to love …which were for bands that could not rehearse! her Banjo playing was really good…and she always had a smile, there were plenty of smiles and laughter last night so again thank you.

Sadly only a very few of the fans turned up to enjoy the evening, but I know that all who were there enjoyed it so much, and thank you for digging deep as always for the raffle, Lovely prizes and well done Clover you did a grand job, thanks to Duncan and Colin for folding the tickets.

Oh yes and thanks Wendy for supplying that fan for the band for the evening! We must think about investing in a couple of fans Alan.

Sole Bay Jazz late posting!

Thursday Night at The Sports Pavilion Ditchingham with The Sole Bay Jazz Band and friends… A good crowd but lots of empty seats, however I think the band provided a good evening.

Nice to have Ron on those drums great playing thanks for sitting in for Craig…
Tim  and Derek on Saxophones and Clarinets Tony on the Bass and Alan on Guitar and Banjo, Ray tinkling those piano keys and a little bit of the Trumpet appearing late on with Barry singing for us.

Thanks Clover and Christine for the really good raffle… and for the 'boys' for folding the tickets…

Kelly think you were a bit overwhelmed  at times behind the bar but well done.

On a hot summer night at The Sports Pavilion Ditchingham… The Sole Bay Jazz Band played up a storm of music…

A quieter night than last week but lots of talent and different music…maybe a bit more smiles and fun  would have been good …but that is just me! Great playing though.

Bits of Blue /Jazz/ Swing/old time and newer…some nice piano  from Barry and well done as more new music for you, and great vocals. 

Not such a big crowd but thanks to everyone for digging deep for the raffle which with Jon's help goes toward this fine band of musicians coming along every Thursday evening to play for us.

Thanks to Christine and Clover anther great raffle…and for Don and Duncan for folding the tickets…

Nice to see Holly behind the bar standing in for Emily, doing well and a great smile.

Wishing all those unable to come because of illness a good recovery…
