Birthday Treat

This is called the New Roundhouse. a little hideaway restaurant hidden in lovely grounds in Thorington Suffolk...

Not so hideaway as we knew nearly all dining this lunchtime so it got rather friendly. I also had Happy Birthday sung to me by my dear neighbour Joyce...

Ivan took Dive and Phil and myself there for my birthday treat today.....Dive has all the food pics no doubt they will appear at some time on his blog!!

Dive took this of the old gal!!! pretty flowers at the front!!

So I returned the favour, you can see we had a good meal!

A very reluctant Phil who hates having his photo taken!

Ivan found some holiday makers to chat to, while Phil looked upwards!

Jazz at Flixton

Once again a great night of Jazz at the Buck....

Not sure what Mike was doing with his instrument! and Alan had his knees out!!

The double bass, played beautifully by the Prof.....and a good one of Neil on the drums and Tim and Mike...

Liz and James decided to join us, some of the Sole Bay Jazz players played at their wedding....
Ivan and I have made a lot of good friends at the Buck......A good night had by all....

Golden Wedding cake (another!)

Took our friends Golden Wedding cake over yesterday, to the "The Elms Barn" the venue looked so good, they had golden roses in arrangements on all the tables ....which were laid with white cloths and all the silver cutlery and glasses it was very tasty...... was so busy chatting to them both, forgot to take a photo of them with the cake which we set up on a round table in the middle of the room.....but no doubt I will see the photos they take at a later date.....just hope the cake ate well....

Buffet for Jeannie

Just thought you would like to see the buffet we prepared for my sister in laws wake yesterday....lots of baking, but it went well, a good send off to Jeannie...

Thanks to Phyllis and Ivan for all their help. lovely to see all the relatives, shame that we only meet at funerals and weddings.....

Dive and Full did me proud as usual... really strange to see how everyone is older, oh dear me included....

Rhythm n Reeds

Southwold Kings Head .. and the Rhythm n Reeds jazz folk play once a month, but the lighting is terrible and my little camera does not take great pics in there, so sorry about the poor pics....but hope you can get the feel for a great night out with a lot of talent....
Dave the drummer and Ian N. on bass guitar also play in the Waveney Big Band ....

Roy and Ian jazzing it up Roy plays a mean saxophone as well as having a great voice and he entertains us all...

And this is Neil all time fun and dressed up well last night...always at jazz.... gotcha Neil, whoops maybe pay back time for me, because you had your camera last Thursday at Flixton Jazz!!Looking forward to seeing how they came out!
