Christmas evening with the Band…

That was a great Christmas evening of jazz with the Sole Bay Jazz Band , always brilliant, but extra special last night.

Very nice to at last see some different faces coming along, hopefully when the New Year starts, they will have realised that the Band is not just for Christmas!!!! more folk we have seen for ages. Nice for Kelly behind the bar with a busy evening.

Great to see Les and June back with Les  nearly back to his lovely self after his fall, their Son brought them, and of course JJ and I are really pleased that her Son took us and Sandy and Neil brought us home.

Thanks to Chris and Clover for the raffle, and Fudge for her great fun when the numbers are called out!!!

Tim did a lot of 'thanks ' to everyone,. But I would like to say a great big 'thank you' to him from us all,   for every week standing to play such melodic music for us, Alan on the Banjo and Guitar, who manages to makes sure he gets the guests, Ray who makes that piano sing, Mick on that bass sounding good…!!! Bill played as always so well,  a pleasure to see him there, and of course Craig who like all drummers sits at the back keeping the beat, some good solos last night. How lucky are we.

Thanks to Amanda who came along to sing, loved the Christmas one at the end, very nice. Geoff gave us some harmonica music, so thanks to all.

Another thanks as always to Fudge for the photos, oh wish I had taken some when Tim, Bill and Ray had their Christmas hats on! looked good…

Lovely company at the Coven table with a nice lot of food…also  thanks for all my cards and hugs !!!

Hopefully in the New Year we will see some good crowds coming along to enjoy exceptional playing from the band… January 2025 on the 6th…

Jazz night…Such talent…

Another great evening of live music from the Sole Bay Jazz gentlemen…

Sadly not many people these days to enjoy these very talented musicians… but maybe like JJ and me, getting there involves getting a lift, at the moment we are very lucky to be taken back and forth, long may it last!!! Thanks Sandy and Neil for last evening.

Chris and (Clover, nice to see you back), with  the raffle, and Fudge last evening was more fun than usual, Chris and Tim you gave us a good giggle, never known the raffle to happen like that… well only on the back table!!! …

Thanks as always for the photos Fudge, and the help with my phone…clever lady. The photos are in no particular order as my dear Apple is past its best (like me)  and it takes a while to do what I wish it would do!!! Tony was busy videoing so looking forward to those.

Glad that some folk have been looking in on the nostalgia photos,  some great memories…

Don't forget next week is the last gig before Christmas break, so lets make it a good one, and at least the Coven table will be having its usual yummy eats, so come and  bring a little Christmas cheer for your tables…

Well Done Sole Bay…

Morning Jazzers… well that was a different evening of Jazz… Ray unwell, no sign of Barry to sing…But what a team the Sole Bay Jazz men are … with a couple of tunes from Geoff on his harmonica.

The four gentlemen who were there for us, played some great music, Fudge took some photos…Tony did the videos…

Clover was not well, so Chris managed the raffle…with some help with folding the tickets… Hardly anyone there to listen to the band, but thankfully JJ and me were transported there and back we so appreciate the lifts.

Fudge made the raffle fun…Kelly served the few that were there, although  hopefully she will not bleach the bar floor down while we are there next time, Fudge and I are asthmatic!!! and it made eyes run and breathless! luckily it did not appear to bother most people.

Hoping the attendance goes up for the next few weeks before Christmas.
