David and Me…

This morning I drove to David's who took me into Norwich we had a lovely morning, thanks Son it was all great…Hope you all have a good morning tomorrow…

Would have liked to do the Dragon walk but it takes a long time, have taken a couple of Dragon photos but cut the nose off one of them! The little girl was so sweet sitting on the edge , lovely to see the children enjoying them.

What lovely weather after all the rain and wind, a beautiful day, got some lovely fresh veg off the market, we wandered into loads of shops, especially book ones!! Wish I had bought the crab, you were right. Lovely buskers as well…

Had some great food…pity I got stuck behind a Combine Harvester and a Tractor, on the way home, but for a change everyone was behaving well, apart from a few motorcyclists, who disregard the speed limit, no wonder they say 'think bike'!

SoleBay Band with friends

Thursday night at the Jazz was very good… lots of different music and loads of laughter and fun as well as some very talented playing and singing from the band members…We are so lucky as I say all the time, to be able to have live music without paying an entrance fee.

A couple of really good solos from Tim, and then from Ray on the piano accompanied by Tony and Craig… as I said some great playing from them all… Tony P sang some good songs and brought some laughter as well, Allan sang one , and Simon oh some great ones Simon again.

Lovely crowd if towards the end rather a loud one, sad when people want to listen however cannot help it I suppose,  we enjoyed it at the front…and to be among friends is just great. Miss you June hope the wrist improves quickly…  for all who are a bit under the weather hurry back and get well soon.

Thanks to Keith who got us a nice lot of prizes and who although unwell Sheila and him come along every week, we do appreciate it Keith, hope you have some good days soon…Thanks to all who contributed to the raffle it is appreciated as all helps to bring these fine musicians to us. We have some very different line ups coming along so keep watching here…

Thanks to one of Jon's daughters for helping with the bar, while our Heidi celebrated her Wedding Anniversary…

A few photos…I should concentrate more I think …but they are rather spread out for my little camera, I was offered for a lift up onto the bar so I could get them all in…but………

Fox and Goose!

Great lunch time yesterday, thanks to my 2 Sons and Dawn, for the rest of my birthday treat.

The Fox and Goose is a lovely place to go to and the meals were as always …great.

We had a good laugh ( hope the other folk did not mind the noise) when one gets the giggles it is hard to stop. Thanks you three had a wonderful time.

My photos were not good,  David sent me one of his, it was very sunny when we arrived for our meal should have taken the photos then as it got very windy and dull later, I am always taking others photos as hate them of me, but David did not do a bad job with one of them so will risk putting it on here.

Lovely old building

The boys after they had paid! ha ha

Phil Dawn and me! it was windy weather…
Had to add this one even though photo blurred, as I said it was very windy weather…

Wedding

On Saturday I was invited to my great niece's wedding …Rachael and Stuart are a lovely couple, they wanted a simple wedding with a few family and friends, and they certainly got a beautiful dream day.

Everything that could be was natural and very down to earth, vintage as it could be …so wonderful, I said it was like a fairy wedding  in a woodland setting. The Sunflowers were a great touch.

Thank you for inviting me I would not have liked to miss seeing you two wed ,with that lovely service and the music the lady played on her piano was a wonderful touch of class.

The Bridesmaids were gorgeous, in fact it all was everything you could have wish for.

All the family pulled together to produce some great flowers/ food/ music/drinks… and it went so smoothly, I wish you both a  wonderful married life, you deserve it.

I am looking forward to the photos that Sophie took, I cannot resist just putting a couple that I took on here.

I thought this showed the ethereal feel of the day
two lovely people joined together.

The cake cutting…

A day out in the sun!

Today Jan took me out for a pre birthday treat, and what a glorious weather day, we did not expect it so hot, so a bit burnt!

We went to Aldeburgh and by the look of all the people who where lying out on the beach in the brilliant sunshine, there will be a few sore bodies this evening.

The traffic was terrible the driving from some people overtaking in the worst places, country roads are not good for fast silly drivers. Glad I had a good driver. When we got to the main street goodness I do not think I have ever seen so many cars, we went on the car park  which was no where near as crowded, amazing how no one likes to pay for parking!

The first call being the lovely fish and chip shop, such friendly people and of course one has to queue, but they are very fast serving, so yummy cod and chips with Adnams batter! then onto the beach to eat them, they were great , thanks Jan again…

We had a nice walk, sorry I could not make it as far as we meant to Jan but back was getting rather red…what a silly top to wear …

We had a lovely ice cream , thanks Jan! then tea for two at one of the hotels over looking the sea…

Who needs to fly out of the country when we have this near to where we live…

Jan thank you for a great day out.

Sole Bay Band fun…

Well that turned out to be a great night again at the Sports Pavilion, listening to the Sole Bay Jazz Band performing for us all…

Not such a big crowd but a very appreciative one, and the band had a great time as well…

Always  a lot of talented playing from the band, who ever plays, but maybe even a little extra edge last night, it was so good to hear such a different selection of music, from six really great musicians…

They had to play without the amps, and it still sounded really good…

Thanks for a great night Sole Bay, lovely to meet up with friends, Heidi a quieter night for you, after last week maybe as well!

Sending get well soon to all those who are not feeling great, we do miss you when you cannot get to the jazz, a big hug for you June, hope the wrist soon gets better.

The Band nearly all wore blue, so a nice set of photos.
