Yet more cake!!!

Just finished this for a friend who we have known for many years.......

CONTRAST.........

In sharp contrast to yesterday.... this morning at 7am Jack Frost had been to see us.........

With apologies to Robyn who does not like spiders, this web you have to admit is a work of art.........

SOUTHWOLD ONCE AGAIN !!!!

Today Dive rang up and said did I fancy a trip to Southwold!!!......We have a little programme on our Local TV where a chef goes around the coast and he cooks etc........Coastal Kitchens it is called, and Darren seen here with me this morning, took the presenter cook out on his boat during the week, but the chef did not show Darrens nice wet fish shop, so Dive and I are making up for that....

We bought fresh prawns and cockles.....

As you can see Dive thought they were rather special!!!!

These are huts especially for Lesley!!!!

Dive took this one of me looking like a drunken sailor, we started off with coats, and ended up carrying them as the weather was great...............

Of course one always meets up with friends....... hope you look in Margaret and Pete.. nice to see you....
As usual the walk was great this time not only starting at the pier and walking to the harbour, we went back through the town, loads more pics soon...when I have recovered.......

A little Christening Cake

Just finished a Christening cake for my friends sweetest little boy.

VALENTINE

HAPPY VALENTINE EVERYONE.

One of my neighbours has made a few of us older ladies a valentine treat... so before I eat it, I thought you would appreciate seeing it.....

He has turned out to be quite a cook for an ex school caretaker., and luckily his wife does not mind him spoiling us....and so I am going to enjoy this.....

Southwold Walk

This is Walberswick from the quay where we bought fresh fish today... as Jan and Derek decided I could go with them to Southwold....

Derek drove the car to the pier, and Jan and I did our walk on the beach, could not resist those two shadows again, we look like Laurel and Hardy... and hardy it was walking through the sand...you can see the pier where we are heading in the distance!!!!!

The sea was nice and calm, not so many people here as Pakefield yesterday....
Lots of dogs again though.....

A couple of boys in their canoes you can still see how far we have to go to get to the pier

A bit too much sun, but we reached the pier and met up with D again then we three had a yummy ice cream, I am so spoilt.....

Seaside Seagulls

I know this isn't a picture of seagulls!!!!!!but in this bush were a lot of little sparrows, looks like I missed them all!!!!!

This is Pakefield a seaside place a few miles from Beccles, where they sell great fish and chips, which we enjoyed sitting on a bench near here.....

This is what happens when the seagulls know you are having a meal!!!!!!

The sea and sun was really great, loads of people children and dogs, could not believe it was February and not summer time......

There were several power boats noisily motoring along near the beach, which spoilt the peace and quiet, but Jan, Derek and I had a great walk down to the pier and back then a cuppa sitting near the spring flowers..Thanks to you both for a lovely day.......and for the fish and chips yummy!!!!!

Glasses!!!

No alas it is not one of my books!!!!!! but after seeing Robyn's picture of her new glasses Dive and I thought it would be fun to have one of my new specs...................

Alistair gig

Thanks to Judy and Dave for this nice pic of Alistair, he had a gig in York Thursday night and some of our lovely fans went and had a great time.. wish he would come this way.....but have to say well done to the fans who still travel all that way to support him....I miss seeing him and the cyber friends I have made since following Al.... as such a really lovely group of people who I rely on to keep me going...
